It’s been over 10 years since Nintendo fans have gotten a new entry in theWii Sportsseries. It kicked off with the launch ofWii Sportswith the Nintendo Wii back in 2006, and thenWii Sports Resortlaunched in 2009, which also came out on Wii. Now, in 2022,Nintendo Switch Sportsis here to bring new players back into the family-fun multiplayer series. Thanks to the motion controls in theJoy-Con controllers, returning players will feel right at home with the mechanics, especially for iconic sports like bowling and tennis.
Nintendo Switch Sports Price
Nintendo Switch Sportsretails for $49.99 for the physical edition, and the digital version costs $10 less, at $39.99. The reason for the price difference is that the physical version comes with a leg strap peripheral that can be used in the soccer mini-game –it’s the same one that’s used inRing Fit Adventure.

Nintendo Switch Sports Expected eShop Release Time
For Nintendo fans that don’t care about having the physical copy, or don’t need the leg strap for soccer,Nintendo Switch Sportscan be purchased and pre-loaded from theSwitch eShop. Its file size is 3GB, taking up much less space than other first-party Switch games.
As for the expectedlaunch times forNintendo Switch Sports, gamers should be able to start playingaround 9 PM PT (April 28), the night before the physical game’s release date. For other time zones, it shouldunlock at 10 PM MT / 11 PM CT / 12 AM ET / 5 AM BST (London) / 2 PM AEST (Australia).

There are six different sports games that will be available at launch forNintendo Switch Sports. There will be a seventhadditional sport to be added post-launch:
Considering that Nintendo is planning to supportNintendo Switch Sportspost-launch with additional sports, this could mean that other types of DLC could be added after Golf. With the game having full online multiplayer support, limited-time tournaments could be a thing, too, like the ones featured ingames likeSuper Smash Bros. UltimateandMario Kart 8 Deluxe.
