A creative fan ofThe Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivionhas shared their efforts to create a customOblivionSheogorath figure with fellow fans. When the available official merchandise fails to satisfy, the fans often end up creating their own works to fill in the gaps, and that’s the case here.
Sheogorathis the Daedric Prince of Madness, who features prominently in the Shivering Isles expansion ofOblivion. Players of the game were immediately taken by Sheogorath’s hilarious and odd personality, making him one of the most memorable characters of the game.

While Sheogorath does have a Funko Pop figure available, there are no official action figure-type creations of theDaedric Prince.Oblivionfan DanintheVortex decided to create a figure for themselves, and shared a photo with the gaming subreddit. Fans have been primarily impressed by the design, with some admitting that they were disappointed to learn that it wasn’t official, as they wanted to own a Sheogorath figure for themselves.
Several fans pointed out a similarity between Sheogorath’s depiction and Doctor Strange, and DanintheVortex noted that was accurate, as they had built it by modifying a Doctor Strange action figure. They applied epoxy sculpty to the figure for custom detailing, and then painted over it in its entirety to recreate Sheogorath’s iconic purple coat, bracers, and staff. One fan pointed out the epoxy at the base of the figure used to secure it, joking that he seemed to be standing in mashed potatoes. Rather than refuting it, DanintheVortex simply responded that he’s standing in mashed potatoes because he’sthe Mad God.
As the latest mainline single-player entry to theElder Scrollsfranchise,Skyrimoften receives praise for its longevity and iconic nature among gamers. Sheogorath makes an appearance here too, albeit briefly in comparison toOblivion. His character has since been present in theElder Scrolls Online, and fans are likely eager to see if they can find him somewhere inThe Elder Scrolls 6, once it finally releases. However, with no release window in sight andStarfieldstill taking up Bethesda’s time, it may be quite a while yet before players get the chance to try and find him.
WhileThe Elder Scrollsgames are popular for their gameplay, stories, and music, their individual characters are part of what really help them to shine and remain memorable, even years later. Whether it’s an intentionally odd and fun character like Sheogorath or a simple guard complaining about sweetrolls and being shot in the knee, players always end up coming across a memorable character inThe Elder Scrollsgames.
