Naturally, a pirate of his pedigree has a lot of powerful allies. Even before Luffy ascended to the throne of an Emperor, he had already made quite a lot of valuable allies, mostly by helping them and befriending them in the process. Without his allies, Luffy would certainly have not made it as far as he has on his journey as a pirate. While this list already goes over some of his very best allies, there are others that deserve a mention of their own. With that in mind, this list has now been updated.
14Happo Navy
The Happo Navy is a very powerful Fleet that is currently led by Don Sai, the Third Ship Captain of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. The Happo Navy is incredibly powerful and their top ranking members are especially adept at using Haki and Hasshoken.
The former leader, Don Chinjao, is also a member of this group. At the end of the Dressrosa Arc, this group officially affiliated itself with the Straw Hat Pirates. Thanks to Sai, they are sworn to help Luffy whenever he needs help, and that makes them Luffy’s allies.
13Yonta Maria Grand Fleet
The Yonta Maria Grand Fleet is led by none other than Orlumbus. This fleet is absolutely massive with a total of 4300 powerful pirates belonging to it. Orlumbus is known to be the Admiral of this fleet and towards the end of the Dressrosa arc, fans saw them help the Straw Hat Crew and everyone else escape.
The Yonta Maria Grand Fleet forms the biggest part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. They are exceptionally powerful and, just like every other major captain in the Grand Fleet, they are sworn to help Luffy as well. Fans will surely see them in action very soon now that One Piece is in its Final Saga and Luffy would need his strongest allies very soon.
12Sun Pirates
The Sun Pirates are a legendary pirate crew that have existed in the world ofOne Pieceworld for quite a few decades. This crew was created by none other than the legendary Fisher Tiger and after his death, it was taken over by Jinbe.

Towards the end of the Whole Cake Island arc, Jinbe ended up leaving the crewand joined the Straw Hat Pirates.Ever since then, the crew has become an ally of the Straw Hats. The Sun Pirates ended up helping the Straw Hat Pirates towards the end of the Whole Cake Island arc. Furthermore, they ended up successfully escaping from Big Mom and their wounds were tended to by Jinbe. The crew is likely led by Aladdin right now and are surely worthy allies of Luffy.
11New Giant Warrior Pirates
The New Giant Warrior Pirates are led by none other than Hajrudin, one of the members of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Given that this is a pirate crew consisting of the strongest race in the entire world ofOne Piece, the New Giant Warrior Pirates are incredibly powerful.
Hajrudin himself is quite a valuable ally to Luffy, and his other crewmates, who fans have seen very little about so far, are also strong in their own right. If Luffy ever needed help, the New Giant Warrior Pirates are sworn to help him, making them one of Luffy’s strongest allies.
10Barto Club
The Barto Club is led by none other than the captain of the second ship of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, “the Cannibal,” Bartolomeo. He was introduced to the fans in the Dressrosa arc where he made himself a loyal follower of Luffy. After the events of Dressrosa, he joined the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, and eventually, he also led the crew to the Phantom Island of Zou.
While he might not be the strongest of people on the seas right now, it is a given that with time, he will develop into quite a formidable pirate. Bartolomeo’s Bari Bari no Mi makes him an incredibly powerful pirate and his mercilessness has earned him a bounty of 200 million berries.
9Beautiful Pirates
The Beautiful Pirates hail from the New World and a led by the former Prince of the Bourgeois Kingdom, Cavendish of the White Horse. He is also the Captain of the first ship of the Straw Hat Pirates and, thus, commands great respect.
In combat, he is a menace and has made quite a reputation for himself, earning a bounty of 320 million berries. His alter ego, Hakuba, makes him even stronger in combat and it goes without saying that Cavendish is one of Luffy’s strongest allies who will come to his aid in the future for sure.
8Marco
Also known as the Phoenix, Marco is the former First Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates and the acting Captain of the remnants of the crew. He’s a legendary fighter in theOne Pieceworld and wields the power of the Mythical Zoan Tori Tori no Mi, Model: Phoenix. During the Marineford arc, Marco proved to be strong enough tohold off Marine Admirals, including Akainu.

The Gorosei considered him to be one of the few people capable of stopping Blackbeard. What’s more, in Wano, Marco held off both King and Queen at once, which just goes to show his legendary might in combat. Without a doubt, he’s one of Luffy’s most trusted and reliable allies.
7Mink Tribe
The Mink Tribe are a very powerful race that live on the Phantom Island, Zou. Currently led by Carrot, the Mink Tribe are a special race of humanoid animals with the power to use Electro. They befriended the Straw Hat Pirates, largely thanks to Sanji and Chopper, during the Zou arc.
Ever since then, they have gone on to aid Luffy in the fight against Kaido as well. The Mink Tribe are valuable allies of Luffy and will continue to be so until the end of the series, especially now that Carrot is their leader.
6Trafalgar Law
Also known as the Surgeon of Death, Trafalgar Law is a world-renowned pirate hailing from the North Blue. He is a member of the Worst Generation and has made quite a great name for himself in the One Piece world. Law was partly responsible fortaking down one of the Yonkoof the sea, Big Mom.
He has now earned himself a bounty of 3 Billion berries, which is nothing short of staggering. While Law and Luffy have gone their separate ways, he still owes him a favor after the latter defeated Doflamingo. If ever needed, Law would certainly come to Luffy’s aid.
5Sabo
Luffy’s brother, Sabo is the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army and one of the most powerful people, second only to Dragon in terms of strength. He is strong enough to fight the likes of the Marine Admirals and has even gone on to best one of them during the Reverie.
His fame has surpassed that of even Dragon himself, and he’s being worshiped worldwideas the Flame Emperor. Sabo has vowed to come to Luffy’s aid whenever he needs him and given his pedigree, he’s certainly one of the strongest allies that the Straw Hat pirate has.
