Sombra during a win pose

Some characters have a strong hate for one another inOverwatch 2, and players have been able to learn these rivalries and lack of allegiances through the in-game voicelines and interactions of the characters, the stories they are involved in, and the plethora of story content fans receive through trailers and other goodies outside of gameplay.

7Zarya And Sombra

In theZarya: Searching Overwatchcomic, Zarya is sent on a mission to hunt down Sombra. The reason being, is that Sombra is one of the greatest hackers of all time, and has become Russia’s greatest threat that only Zarya is capable of taking out. Due to the events of this comic, it’s safe to say that Zarya and Sombra don’t exactly like each other.

Considering both characters are still alive after the events of Zarya: Searching, their feud and battle has left a sour taste in both their mouths, and when paired together on a team inOverwatch 2, players can see that the two don’t exactly have a fondness for each other.

6Widowmaker And Tracer

Perhaps the most recognizable rivals ofOverwatch 2is Widowmaker and Tracer, the two characters that work for rival factions.Tracer is a part of Overwatch, whereas Widowmaker is a part of Talon. The latter, seeks chaos and disruption of the natural order of things, and the comings of another Omnic war. Which is exactly why Widowmaker and Tracer do not get along.

In one mission, Widowmaker is sent to assassinate an important Omnic figure, Tekhartha Mondatta, who is giving a speech at King’s Row in England. Despite a battle between her and Tracer,Widowmaker manages to win, assassinates her target, and escapes. Needless to say, neither has let this go.

OR15s were the defense force of Numbani. However, when Doomfist attacked, most of them were destroyed. 4Genji And Hanzo

The tale of Genji and Hanzo is a tragic one. The two brothers were locked into fatal combat, one that caused Genji to lose the majority of his physical body, creating a cyborg. This wouldn’t be the first time the two brothers fought, and it seems that their conflict with each other will be endless until one of the Shimada clan brothers is dead.

As the eldest brother, Hanzo was destined to lead his clan once their father passed. However, the clan leads criminal activities that do not abide by the more carefree and younger brother, Genji. Nevertheless, their story of brotherhood and rivalry is interlocked inOverwatch 2.

3Solider 76 And Reaper

There was once a time when Soldier 76 and Reaper saw each other as brothers, friends that were locked into combat with the Omnic War that could relate to each other. Both men were augmented soldiers that served their country, but things would sour overtime with the relationship of Reaper and Soldier 76, as both men, Reyes and Morrison respectively, had different ideas and morals when itcame to helping the world.

After an explosion that destroyed the Overwatch Swiss headquarters, Reaper was declared dead. However, he was reborn as something dark, sinister, and hateful. This rebirth and a new allegiance with Talon, had left Reaper a monster, and even more scornful of Solider 76.

2Moira And Mercy

Moira and Mercy are both renowned scientists, although the former may be a tad disgraced. Whereas Mercy dedicates her science and herpassion to helping others, and ensuring the safety and health of all, Moira instead believes that science will reveal the truth, and thus, the deformations, torture, and genetic engineering of superiority. Mercy and Moira used to work together, but they often came to blows about morality and ethics.

Moira definitely enjoys the cynical side of science, and to experiment on a test subject is a thrill. Meanwhile, Mercy adores a healthy patient, and their voice lines inOverwatch 2will often show them arguing with words, battling with philosophy and opinion on their science.

1Junkrat And Everyone

Few characters inOverwatch 2will leave an irritable and bad taste in the mouths of others. But, few characters are Junkrat. Junkrat seems to have beef with everyone, or, everyone seems to have beef with Junkrat. The Australianmayhem loving explosive expertcan certainly annoy everyone, including the Junker Queen, who has since kicked Junkrat out of Junker Town.

It’s near impossible to find a character inOverwatch 2who will have a conversation with Junkrat and not regret initiating it. The character is erratic, irritating, and not to the taste of many due to how he either doesn’t shut up, or doesn’t know what to say. Either way, his chaotic presence is a nuisance to most of the characters, even if they would rather just not invite him than want him dead.
