Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteoushas become a massive success in a few short months, and it’s already getting bigger. The first DLC expansion pack, theInevitable Excess, is going to add a brand-new story campaign to the game, and the developer has finally announced its release date.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteouslets gamers play a digital recreation of the popular tabletop game, allowing them to become a Mythic Hero that fights through a world overtaken by demons. Whether that’s a good hero or an evil one is entirely up to the player, as one would expect from an adaptation of a role-playing game. The main story alone can take 60 hours to beat, and players have spent hundreds of hours completing everything there is to do. But gamers have already made their way through everything and are demanding new content, something developer Owlcat Games is only too happy to oblige.

Owlcat has announced thatInevitable Excesswill release on February 15th. It hasn’t announced a price just yet, but it is also available as part of the game’s Season Pass, which will include at least three story expansions in total. Hopefully, this will allow gamers toadd to the list of things they love aboutPathfinder.

The game is also 20% off for theSteam Lunar New Year Sale, and the season pass is as well, so this might be a good time to dive into the world.

Owlcat has even recently added free DLC, a surprise pet Sovereign dragon as part of the free ‘A Visitor from Distant Lands’ DLC update. This cute dragon will appear in each character’s personal chest after downloading the free DLC and fly around a player’s character. This kind of dragon is a rare sight outside its homeland of Tian Xia but is too young to help players fight demons, sadly. Still, he will help a player succeed on Knowledge and Lore skill checks, making him invaluable to anyone seeking to learn more about the world. It’s just nice to have adragon that isn’t a challenging boss fight.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteousisabsolutely full of hidden secrets, but players have already been clamoring for more story content, so this DLC is perfect for them. Two more paid story DLC packs are on the way as well for later this year, as well as a console version that has been delayed a bit to further iron out any issues.

Pathfinder: Wrath Of The Righteousis available now for PC and will launch on consoles sometime in Fall of 2022.
