Pokemon GOdeveloper Niantictypically hosts two Community Day events every month: Community Day and Community Day Classic. Each event focuses on a particular Pokemon and provides enticing bonuses such as boosted encounter rates and exclusive attacks. Niantic also introduces new Field Research with each Community Day event, allowing players to earn additional rewards by completing certain tasks. These rewards include Poke Balls, Stardust, and more encounters with the featured Pokemon for a limited duration. The newest Community Day Classic event and its corresponding Special Research story will highlight Mareep later this month.
Niantic’s latestPokemon GOblog postreveals that Mareep will be featured in the November 2023 Community Day Classic event taking place on Saturday, November 25 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time. Mareep will appear more frequently in the wild, which means that the shiny appearance rate will also go up during the event.Pokemon GOplayers who catch Mareep, evolve the Pokemon into Flaaffy, and evolve Flaaffy into Ampharos before 7:00 PM local time will unlock the exclusive Dragon Pulse Charged Attack. Once more, Community Day Classic-themed Field Research tasks will be available for free, and players may purchase the Mareep Special Research story for $1.00. Additionally, several event bonuses will be active during Community Day Classic, including 1/4 hatch distance for eggs, Lure Modules and Incense that last three hours, andan opportunity to encounter and catch Smeargle.
When is the Pokemon GO November 2023 Community Day Classic Event?
Unlike traditional Community Day events, the Mareep Community Day Classic event will not include a special raid battle. However, Niantic notes that players should be on the lookout forspecial PokeStop Showcases inPokemon GO, which offer additional rewards like XP, Stardust, and Incubators. Special event bundles will be available inPokemon GO’sin-game shop. These bundles include items that are useful for catching and leveling up Mareep, including a stockpile of Ultra Balls.
Pokemon GOcontinues to be an eventful gameleading into 2024. In fact, Niantic already revealed several dates for Season 13 Community Day events and teased multiple new in-game events that will be held this coming winter. Niantic will likely reveal the Pokemon for December 2023’s Community Day shortly after the November 2023 Community Day Classic event wraps up.
