The quest offers 5 tasks, including defeating Team GO Rocket Grunts and catching andpurifying multiple Shadow Pokemon. Completing these tasks offers players several featured Pokemon encounters and in-game items as possible rewards.

The Team GO Rocket appears in an increased amount atdifferentPokemon GOPokeStopsand Balloons. One must note that the Team GO Rocket Balloons appear every 2 hours during the event’s runtime. Players can also use a Charged TM to make their Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Move Frustration.

FromSaturday, Jul 13, 2025, at 6 AMtoSunday, June 20, 2025, at 10 PM Local Time, one can battle Shadow Ho-Oh inPokemon GO5-star Shadow raids.
