Pokemon Legends: Arceusis the latest entry in thePokemonvideo game franchise. Named afterthe Legendary Pokemon Arceus, the game takes players to the Sinnoh region’s past, when it was still called the Hisui region. There, players get to experience a new adventure in Hisui with all kinds of Pokemon.
InPokemon Legends: Arceus, the game features different designs for some familiar Pokemon in the Hisui region that fans will notice. That includes the Pokemon Voltorb and its evolved form Electrode, both of which receive new Hisuian designs in the game. Not everyone is a fan of the new design for the Pokemon, but one fan decided to take a shot at making their own design for Hisuian Electrode.

Ayu_Draws made their own new design for the Hisuian Electrode and shared it on thePokemonReddit page. The Pokemon fan based the redesign on a Japanese firework bombshell. They even provide a summary for the redesigned Hisuian Electrode in the picture, which matches their fireworks influence for the image.
One notable feature that the user provided to their redesign for the Hisuian Electrode was a mustache. Ayu_Draws briefly explained why they added it, stating that if players flipthe Hisuian Voltorb’s designfrom the game, they’ll see that its eyebrows look like a mustache. This is similar to how Voltorb looks like a regular Poke Ball, while Electrode looks like an upside down Poke Ball.
The general reaction to the redesign was mostly positive, with commenters praising the design and explanation behind this new version of Hisuian Electrode. This isn’t the first fan art made of Pokemon fromPokemon Legends: Arceus,or anyPokemongame for that matter. Earlier this January, an online artist called jaibrooklyn madefan mashup art of Alakazam and Dr. Strangefrom the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The image combines Alakazam with Dr. Strange’s clothing while casting a spell. They made more fused mashup art combining other comic book characters with Pokemon, like Venom with Gengar and Lucario with Batman fromDC Comics.
With the popularity of thePokemonfranchise, it’s not surprising that it receives more than its fair share of fan art, and that goes forPokemon Legends: Arceus. Even though the game came out a couple of days ago,Pokemon Legends: Arceushad already broken sales records. It even made onto Amazon’s best-seller list. With this many players purchasing the game,Pokemon Legends: Arceuswill likely receive more Pokemon fan art soon.
