Pokemon Legends: Arceushas seen a lot of praise both from fans and critics since it first released in late January 2022. The game shakes up the traditionalPokemonformula, changing the way that the battling and catching mechanics work. Of course, completing thePokedex inPokemon Legends: Arceusis still a priority, but due to the game’s historical setting, not much is known about Pokemon and so the player has to figure these details out to progress their rank in the newly introduced Survey Corps.
Another reason thatPokemon Legends: Arceushas proven to be a popular game with fans of the franchise is the content drops and updates for the game. Following this year’s Pokemon Day celebrations,Legends: Arceusrevealed its Daybreak update, which added “Massive Mass Outbreaks,” and a new lot of side quests for players to complete. While there hasn’t been any updates like “Daybreak” since,Pokemon Legends: Arceus’developers are still dropping new pieces of content for players.

Most recently, a new cosmetic item has become available through the Mystery Gift feature inPokemon Legends: Arceus. Mystery Gift is unlocked after doing the fifth main story mission in the game, but since it released it has given players access to a few new pieces of content. Now, the Shiny Baneful Fox Mask is being distributed toPokemon Legends: Arceusplayers if they press “Get via Internet” while in the Mystery Gift menu. The Shiny Baneful Fox Mask tied to the final episode of theHisuian Snowanime, a miniseries tied to the setting ofPokemon Legends: Arceus.
Anyone looking to get the Shiny Baneful Fox Mask doesn’t have to rush, though, as the gift will be available until July 06, 2025. As well as a new cosmetic item coming toPokemon Legends: Arceus,Pokemon SwordandShieldplayers can get their hands on a new special Pokemon as well via a code streamed through the North American International Pokemon Championships. The special pocket monster is a Gastrodon with the same abilities, items, and moveset that the winner of this year’s Pokemon European Championship used.
This isn’t the first timePokemon Legends: Arceushas given away a free item to players through Mystery Gift. Back in March, a Mystery Gift code gave players 30 Ultra Balls, 30 Gigaton Balls, and 30 Jet Balls alongside plenty of items to boost their Pokemon’s stats and level them up. Even withPokemon ScarletandVioleton the way, it is likely the latest and successfulPokemonspin-off will see some more content drops for players.
