Lilligant was something of a forgotten gen-five Pokemon, but the evolution of Petilil has enjoyed renewed relevance inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. It can thank its Hisuian cousin fromPokemon Legends: Arceusfor that.
Though there are plenty of grass-type Pokemon to choose from inPokemon Scarlet & Violet, Petilil and Lilligant stand out. The Pokemon’s unique moveset and deceptively high Sp. Attack and Speed stats make it an interesting hybrid threat.

Anyone that’s looking to complete the Pokedex will naturally need to find a way to get a Lilligant, but what’s the easiest way to get an evolved Petilil? Thankfully, players can actually get one quickly.
How to Evolve Petilil
Petilil evolves into Lilligant by using a Sun Stone.The Pokemon can evolve into Lilligant at any time, with no prerequisites in terms of levels of moves.
Though players might consider holding off on evolving their Petilil, there isn’t really any reason not to pull the trigger.Much like Growlithe and Arcanine, Lilligant has access to its entire moveset at by level five, allowing players to nuke down early opponents with powerful moves like Leaf Storm and Petal Dance. Players can alsofind a Sun Stune early on in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, so it’s not difficult to get a massive head start in the early-game.
That said,Pokemon Scarlet & Violetplayers don’t necessarily need to burn a Sun Stone to get a Lilligant. The Pokemon has a chance to appear in four-star Tera Raid battles and can be caught in the wild in these areas:
Is Hisuian Lilligant in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
Hisuian Lilligant is not currently available inPokemon Scarlet & Violet.That said, it’s likely this will change in the future.
All the Pokemon that had Hisuian regional variants or cross-generation evolutions introduced inPokemon Legends: Arceusare in the games, and data miners have found evidence showing thatHisuian Lilligantis already programmed into the games. This includes a model, icon, and moveset.
The only question is how Hisuian Lilligant will be introduced. It’s possible it could be added to the game as part of a DLC release, though it also might be introduced as part of aspecial Tera Raid event similar to Cinderace.
Is Lilligant a good Pokemon?
Unovan Lilligant is a solid Pokemon in the story mode and in double battlesbut struggles elsewhere. Most Pokemon are usable in the story mode, and Lilligant can carry teams with its powerful grass moves and solid speed stat.
Ranked double battles are also a very good place for Lilligant. It fills the same niche as Venusaur inPokemon Sword & Shieldwith the Chlorophyll ability and Sleep Powder. It also has a unique set of supporting moves, including After You, Pollen Puff, and Encore.
It has limited usefulness in single battles as it works best with an ally. It also lacks the bulk to work well inhigh-level Tera Raid battlesrelative to Pokemon like Arboliva, Rotom-Mow, or Tsareena.
