The first ofPokemon SwordandPokemon Shield’s expansion DLCs is coming in just two short weeks. Now that Nintendo hasrevealed the release date for the upcoming Isle of Armor DLC, plenty of official information is starting to come out about all of the new content being added to the games.

By now, players should have a pretty good idea of the basics. In addition to a new region to explore and new Pokemon to catch,Isle of Armorwill provide players with new rivals to fight, new moves to teach their Pokemon, and new Gigantamax forms for their starters, in addition to plenty of other new features and mechanics. Among all of these, Nintendo will also give players a new way to gain new items through a new device called the Cram-O-Matic.

Located in the dojo at the center of Isle of Armor, the Cram-O-Matic is a strange machine modeled afterCramorant, the Pokemon known for gulping up fish (and Pikachu)during battle. In a similar fashion, players will be able to feed the Cram-O-Matic unwanted items to receive a brand new item.

Best of all, the process will be incredibly simple. All players will have to do is approach the Cram-O-Matic, interact with it, and select four items they want to recycle, at which point it will pop out a new item. According to the officialPokemon SwordandShieldwebsite, it will be able to provide players with a “variety of items, including Poke Balls, PP Ups, and more,” but Nintendo also teased that some item combinations may produce rare items, so players are going to want to experiment once the DLC is released.

All in all, it sounds like the Cram-O-Matic will provide players with a rather useful utility. Not every item inSwordandShieldis as helpful as aRare Candy or a Master Ball, and more often than not players find themselves with more common items than they’ll ever need, so this will be a good way for them to make use of all that item clutter.

Pokemon SwordandPokemon Shieldare available for the Switch. The Isle of Armor DLC will be released on June 17, while the games’ second expansion, The Crown Tundra, will come out this fall.
