DespiteRainbow Six Siegehaving announced console crossplay, revamps to its battle pass and ranked systems, and even a new map for the game, many fans are talking about Solis, a Colombian operator designed to be played as a defender, who will hit live servers on December 6 as part of the Operation Solar Raid event. Focusing on obtaining intelligence and passing it off to her team, Solis can use a Spec-IO Electro-Sensor, perhaps more simply described as an augmented reality visor, to locate enemy utility through walls, ceilings, and floors. Though only Solis can see initially see the enemy gadgets located during a scan, her second ability allows her to send a ping which marks the locations of all the enemy items she has found on the screens of her teammates.

While this ability will likely be very strong, one drawback of it is that Solis must put away her gun in order to scan her surrounding environment - leaving her particularly vulnerable to any unseen advances from some of thestrongest attackers inRainbow Six Siege. In terms of stats, Solis as an operator has two speed and two health, wielding the P90 SMG or ITA12L shotgun as a primary weapon and the SMG-11 as a secondary. She can also pick to use either a bulletproof camera or impact grenade.

Ultimately, the success of Solis will boil down to whether she can stay ahead of the enemy team, meaning those playing her will have to be coordinated enough to gather information and relay it to their teammates before they are overrun by the attacking team. Solis can currently be played on theRainbow Six SiegeTest Server, and will officially release as part of Operation Solar Raid on Jun 24, 2025, being the first defender added to the game sinceRainbow Six Siegereleased Azami.

Rainbow Six Siegeis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
