While manyApex Legendsplayers have been enjoying Season 6 of the popular battle royale, others have become dismayed at the continuous discovery of new bugs within the game. While some of these glitches have been harmless, like astim animation bug for Octane, others that can be abused by players have become detrimental to the overall game experience. Respawn Entertainment seems to be aware of these issues, as it has rolled out a new wave of bans against the bad actors that exploit them.
Apex Legendsplayers that had been found abusing glitches were met with a message when they logged into the game, alerting them that they had been banned for a week. A member of Respawn Entertainment’s security team, Connor Ford, took to Twitter citing a few examples of the bugs that were being taken advantage of, such as an exploit that allowed players to reenter a ranked game after they had died and going under the map for easy wins. The latter of these offenses has been used in multiple scenarios, includinggetting inside of the Vault without a key.

These are just a small taste of the many bugs that have been found inApex Legends' 6th season. Just last week, a particularly frustratingReplicator glitchwas discovered which wouldn’t let players exit the newly introduced crafting system. This inevitably leads to players dying at the hands of the zone rather than another player, which would be even more infuriating in ranked play.
However, just because these glitches keep being found, that doesn’t mean that Respawn isn’t listening to its community. A few weeks ago it was announced thatApex Legendswould be reverting Evo Shieldsto their pre-Season 6 values following player feedback. Not only that, but the patch also included fixes for a plethora of game breaking bugs that players had brought to Respawn’s attention since the beginning of the season.
Respawn hasn’t stopped at glitches and armor values though. The developer seems to be hard at work attempting to incorporate suggestions from theApex Legendscommunity, such asthe removal of one specific tree that has frustrated players on Kings Canyon.
While the game isn’t perfect, it seems that Respawn Entertainment is dedicated to makingApex Legendsthe best experience it can, and this wave of bans is evidence of that. Hopefully it will continue to make improvements and squash these bugs beforecross-play comes toApex Legendsthis fall.
