Fortnite’s Winterfest 2021 event introduced skins that invited in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man and Zendaya’s MJ fromSpider-Man: No Way Home. These skins were unrelated toFortnite’s Spider-Man crossoverin its new Chapter 3 character roster and the content that has followed, but instead debuted the movie’s iteration of the character.
While both the inside-out and regular versions of the Upgraded suit were included, there are also unmasked skins for each that resemble Tom Holland’s likeness. This is not unheard of inFortnite, as many of its crossovers authentically resemble their iconic characters inFortnite’s cartoonish style, such asTimothee Chalamet’s likeness asDune’s Paul Atreides. It appears that Tom Holland’s likeness will not be exclusive to his Spider-Man skin inFortnite, however, as a rumor suggests that another character portrayal of his may be imminent.

HYPEX shares that an “Uncharted Treasure Map” has supposedly surfaced fromFortnitefrom one of its Week 11 Challenges. The alleged map is shown in an image that represents a traditional treasure map on a rolled parchment scroll with X’s marked and certain landmarks illustrated. However, this may not be the traditionalUnchartedcrossover that fans may initially expect. Interestingly, the challenge apparently “goes live on the 17th” which HYPEX notes as the day before theUnchartedmovie releases.
If legitimate, it is almost certain that this crossover is meant to coincide with the movie iteration of Naughty Dog’s seminal action-adventure franchise, but not necessarily the games themselves. AnUnchartedcrossover could advertise the movie asother highly anticipatedFortnitecrossovershave done, but the size of its potentialUnchartedcollaboration is unclear. No news has been shared about whether character skins will be available around the same time, though it would make a lot of sense forFortniteto include a Nathan Drake skin.
Of course, it is possible that one of the available skins could resemble Naughty Dog’s Nathan Drake. But with the movie’s theatrical release timed well with the event it is much more probable that the focus would be onTom Holland’s Nathan Drakeinstead. Further, because Tom Holland already has a skin inFortnitethat resembles his likeness, it would presumably be simple forFortniteto produce a Nathan Drake character model from the assets that already exist. If anUnchartedcrossover is truly in the works forFortnite, it could make the weekend of February 18 an exciting time for fans of both franchises.
Fortniteis free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
