Since it first launched back in December,Halo Infinitehas gained a significant amount of popularity. While the game already has a decent amount of content for players to enjoy, many fans ofHalo Infinitehave been wondering when more content will become available. Now, it seems, a litany of new maps forHalo Infinite’smultiplayer are currently in development.
A commonality that has been shared across practically everyHaloinstallment is the large variety of multiplayer maps for players to choose from. In fact, the visual and level design of a number of these maps has managed to persist since the series began. Take, for instance,Blood Gulch, which made its first appearance inHalo: Combat Evolved,is a map that stood out to many players and has been actively requested forHalo Infinite.

Over on Twitter, HaloHub, an account dedicated toHalonews and rumors, stated that there are at least ten new maps forHalo Infinitethat are in various stages of development. While343 Industrieshas not officially confirmed anything, HaloHub reinforced its claim by saying that before the launch of the multiplayer beta forHalo Infinite, data miners found over twenty maps forHalo Infinite.
Although fans won’t know for sure until 343 Industries or Xbox release some sort of update, it makes sense for there to be a number of maps in development. Considering how the majority of new content forHalo Infinite’sbattle passhas been presented as seasonal, it’s likely that new maps will release at an equally gradual pace.
It’s important for fans to keep in mind that these new maps are in-development. Thus, it’s likely that these maps will be released one handful at a time or, at the very least, when one or more of them are fully completed. Then again, there’s already a wide variety ofmultiplayer maps inHalo Infinitefor players to choose from.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what other pieces of new content will release forHalo Infinite. In addition to new multiplayer maps, many fans have been looking forward to the upcomingForge mode inHalo Infinite. Since the release ofHalo 3, Forge mode has been a mainstay for nearly everyHalotitle, so it will certainly be exciting to seeHalo Infinite’stake on such a popular mode.
