Sony is apparently gearing up to release two newPlayStation 5console bundles in February 2023, according to a retail listing. Sony has released a few differentPlayStation 5console bundles since launching its next-generation system in November of 2020. Beyond the standard retail units, these bundles have come with popular PS5 games packaged-in, giving gamers the chance to get titles likeHorizon Forbidden WestandGod of War Ragnarokwith their consoles.

TheGod of War RagnarokPS5 bundle was likely especially popular because it really came out at the perfect time. Sony was able to get theGod of War RagnarokPS5 bundleout in time for the holiday shopping season, and it was able to dramatically increase its PS5 production to meet demand. PS5 had its best month for hardware sales ever this past December, and it would be interesting to find out how many of those units were of theGod of War Ragnarokbundle.

While Sony has found success selling PS5 console bundles that include games, the company’s next pair of bundles will apparently focus on controllers instead. In an online retail listing spotted by video game industry analyst MauroNL on Twitter, Sony is potentially releasing two new PlayStation 5 console bundles in early February. One will be of thePS5 Digital Edition console, and the other will be the standard PS5 console that includes a disc drive. The key factor that will make these new PS5 console bundles stand out is that they will supposedly come with two DualSense controllers each instead of just one, but nothing official has been announced at the time of this writing.

APS5 DualSense controllertypically retails for $69.99, though there are models that are more expensive. Since a PS5 DualSense controller costs as much as a new game release, it’s nice to be able to get an extra one included with the bundle. That being said, pricing information is not yet available for these potential new PS5 console bundles, so it’s unclear if gamers will be getting a discount or if these bundles will be a bit more expensive than the standard fare. Assuming the new PS5 bundles are real, more concrete information and finer details should be revealed in the weeks ahead.

There are manygreat local co-op and split-screen games on PS5that one would need an extra controller or two handy to play properly, so these bundles should make it easier for gamers that like to play with friends and family.
