Way back in 2011,The Elder Scroll 5: Skyrimhit shelves worldwide and blew gamers away. Despite the fact that over a decade has passed since the game was released, fans are still discovering new bugs, creating new mods, and making new tributes to the epic fantasy game. One of the more recent pieces ofSkyrimfan art crosses the game over with the classicThe Adventures of Tintincomic.

The Adventures of Tintinis a French/Belgian adventure comic book that was published from 1929-1976 and written by Georges Prosper Remi under the pen name Herge. It primarily followed the story of the character Tintin as he embarked on adventures and hunts for treasure and lost artifacts. The game’s supporting characters include the cynical, alcoholic ship captain, Captain Haddock, Tintin’s faithful dog, Snowy, the bumbling police officers Thompson and Thompson, the hard-of-hearing Professor Calculus, and opera singer Bianca Castafiore. Currently, aTintin-based video game is in developmentfrom developer Moulinsart and French publisher Microids.

In the past, gamers have created their own tributes toTintinin some unexpected ways. One player, for example, molded theirRed Dead Redemptioncharacter after Captain Haddock, who was played by Andy Serkis in the 2011 film adaptation. In a recent post, Reddit user Kabooski123 shared a funSkyrimcrossover withTintin. The image in question had the titular character facing down a Frost Troll as he ascended the 7,000 steps to gain an audience with The Greybeards.

TheSkyrimart in question is drawn in a style that pays homage to the originalTintincomics. The coloring of the artwork is identical to that of the original comics and features the same minimalist style the books used. Tintin’s dog Snowy can also be seen at his side as the two confront the Frost Troll, with the title altered to The Fake Adventures of Tintin. Hopefully, the battle doesn’t result in Tintin dying andsliding down the entireSkyrimmountain.

In the addition to the upcoming game,The Adventures of Tintinwas adapted into the 2011 Steven Spielberg film of the same name. Two more sequels were put into development, but sadly never went into production, and the franchise largely fell out of the popular conscience. However, the gaming world has not allowed the series to be forgotten. Last year, developer Robotality has revealed howTintin inspired thePathway’s setting, and the previously mentioned tributes show that the franchise still has its fans. Hopefully, this means thatSkyrimfans will see similar tributes hit the internet before too long.

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrimis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
