As players work through the Festung Guernsey mission inSniper Elite 5, they will come across a kill challenge that centers around burying Lanzo Baumann in concrete. While it is not requisite that fans complete this challenge, those that do will receive the Type 100 SMG as a reward for their efforts. For those players that are indeed interested in unlocking that secondary weapon, this guide will provide details on two different ways to resolveSniper Elite 5’s Mission 5 kill challenge.
Sniper Elite 5: Find and Kill Lanzo Baumann
The first step toward completing this optional objective is to track down Lanzo Baumann, and he can be found in the construction site near the northeast corner ofSniper Elite 5’s Festung Guernsey mission. More specifically, the target is typically inside the office building in the southeast corner of the construction site, and the search area that appears on the map will help players zero in on his precise position. Once a fan locates Baumann, they can bury him in concrete in one of two ways.

The most straightforward way to bury Baumann begins withSniper Elite 5playerssneaking up on the target and pacifying him. This action will knock Baumann unconscious, and players should carry the body to the cement mixer that is just east of the office. Upon arriving at this location, fans should interact with the railing next to the mixer before tossing the incapacitated target into the pool of cement below and completing the kill challenge.
Alternatively, players can avoid a direct confrontation with the target by going straight to the aforementioned railing. Fans should then sabotage both the railing and the adjacent mixer, as that will create a disturbance for Baumann to investigate. After finishing his investigation, the target will lean against the compromised railing and ultimately fall to his death in the cement pool, fulfilling the requirement for the Festung Guernseykill challenge inSniper Elite 5.
To note, some players report that they are not receiving credit for completing this kill challenge, and that is preventing them from obtaining the Type 100 SMG. In particular, the second method, which seems to be the intended approach, appears to be givingsniper video gamefans issues. For those players that find themselves in that situation, it is recommended that they reload an old save and try again, as that strategy has worked to resolve some of the game’s other bugs.
