With both gameplay and narrative being recognized, a fan now makes a montage highlighting the combat mechanic ofRagnarok.

A Reddit user named Much118 has shared a video that shows Kratos defeating a wide variety of enemies using the tools available in combat. The video combines both the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos, highlighting Kratos’ deadly arsenal as he utilizes different types of attacks to take down his foes. Much118 has focused on the variousRunic Attacks available inGod of War Ragnarokfor the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos, mixing them up with the regular attack moves users can unlock for each weapon. Much of the video is synced to the music, as a fan claims it to be the Brothers of Blood track fromGod of War 3.

Kratos also makes use of Spartan Rage, a mechanic players can utilize to turn the tide in their favor, throughout the video. There are three categories ofSpartan Rage available inGod of War Ragnarok– Fury, Valor, and Wrath, each with its own unique benefits. Fury allows users to enter a state where gamers can unleash different attacks on enemies, with each hit healing them for a small amount. Valor is a more defensive approach, as players regain a considerable amount of HP upon activating it, while Wrath charges down enemies with the currently equipped weapon and deals massive damage.
Many users in the comments section praise the editing skills of Much118, with one stating this video could work as agameplay trailer ofGod of War Ragnarok. One player also claims that there probably is a big section of users who haven’t seen all the Wrath-exclusive moves available in the game, while another jokingly wonders why Kratos is so angry in the video.
