AStar Wars Jedi: Survivorplayer has shown off a hilarious clip in which their New Game+ playthrough is totally ruined by one angry stormtrooper. WhileNew Game+ inStar Wars Jedi: Survivorcan pose a fun new challenge for gamers, this being a glitch feels particularly unfair.

The game has had a few interesting bugs since it first launched. There was aStar Wars Jedi: Survivorglitch that allowed players to use the darksaber, but many gamers would actually see that as a positive. Unfortunately, the game also had a few game-breaking bugs discovered that can ruin entire playthroughs, but it seems that these issues have been the top of the priorities for developer Respawn. As the game gets further from its initial release, hopefully these issues become less prominent as they’re slowly but surely removed from the game.

The clip was posted by Redditor culdaff12, and it shows off a very unfortunate moment indeed. At a moment in the game when Cal is cuffed and being led away, the player accidentally mind-tricks a stormtrooper, causing them to attack culdaff12. Of course, the player is completely unable to defend themselves, and ends up dying as a result. The Jedi mind trick is aStar Wars Jedi: Survivorforce powerthat unlocks not too long after this sequence, but due to New Game+ they’re able to use it a little bit earlier than intended. As shown in this clip, the results can be catastrophic.

Some players in the thread were concerned about the player losing their XP as a result of this death. However, the original poster returned to say that locking on to the NPC gave them their XP back, so it seems that nothing of true value was lost here, luckily. Others noted that this could actually be a legitimate strategy forStar Wars Jedi: Survivorspeedrunners, as it seemed to give the player the opportunity to move through the area faster. It will be interesting to see if this ends up being incorporated into speedruns for the game.

AfterStar Wars Jedi: Survivor’s rough launch, it seems the game is finally over the initial launch hump that threatened its success. Developer Respawn has been working to ensure the game is as smooth an experience as possible, bringing it up to the standard expected upon release. The recent Update 5 seemed to be a big step in that direction, and hopefully Respawn maintains this same momentum going forward.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
