Star Wars Jedi: Survivoris a wild ride for a sequel. It opens five years after the original game and can make players feel like they missed several seasons of a show. That’s because Cal is being aided by a new crew including Bode and Bravo, two mercenaries he hired to help take down the Empire.

His old crew eventually shows up, but there is still that missing piece of information. For those curious, a tie-in novel released recently calledStar Wars Jedi: Battle Scarswhich does indeed fill in the gaps betweenStar Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderandStar Wars Jedi: Survivor. That’s great for that time period, but what about the questions left on the table by the end of this sequel?

7Why Do Dark Jedi Need Red Lightsabers?
One of the oddest things about the franchise is the Sith’s need to have red Lightsabers. When Cal awakens Dagan from his Bacta Tank slumber, he has a mini-tantrum beforechanging the color of his Lightsaber. The audience is smart enough to get context clues when a Jedi is evil without needing the red coloring to appear. So, why does it happen in every major storyline? Also, what is the longevity of Bacta Tanks? Dagan spends a long time in one which seems way too long.
6Will There Be Another Major Time Jump?
There is a time jump betweenStar Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderand this sequel. Five years pass and Cal is off doing adventures at the start of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor with a new crew. While moments of the rift are brought up in the game, why Greez, Merrin, and Cere break up with Cal is still a major mystery.

There is the aforementioned novel,Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars, to fill in some gaps but that doesn’t help the players of this game. Will Respawn Entertainment create a time gap again in the sequel? If they do, how many years will it be this time?
5Will Cal Be Tempted By The Dark Side Again?
The middle chapter of these franchise trilogies is often the darkest withStar Wars Episode 5: The Empire Strikes Backbeing a prime example. While things look bright for Cal in the beginning, he loses a lot by the end. The Hidden Path and its library are recked, Master Cordova and Cere are killed, and he also loses Bode who turned out to be evil. Cal even gets tempted by the dark side of the Force in his anger. Will the dark side re-emerge and create different paths in the sequel withRPG dialogue trees, or is Cal all better now?
4Will Kata Become A Jedi?
Bode dies so that his daughter, Kata, can live. After witnessing her father becomea dark Jedi, Kata seems surprisingly okay with everything. Is she going to be okay or will she forever be haunted by what Cal did to her father? Can she forgive him on her path to becoming a Jedi? Will Cal indeed become a Jedi Master and teach Jaya the ways of the Force, or will Kata just be a normal NPC? That seems like one of the storylines the third game is setting up but one never knows how things will shape up.
3Are There Other Planets In The Abyss?
When characters are introduced betweenStar Wars Episode 3andEpisode 4, especially Jedi characters, a few things run through the minds of fans. Will that Jedi live up throughEpisode 4and if so why didn’t they join the Rebellion in the original trilogy?Star Wars Jedi: Survivorcreating Tanalorr in the Abyss could be a way to allow Cal and the others to live.
If they exist in another plane or timelinekind of like Ahsokabefore she appears inThe Mandalorian. That could be a reason why Cal’s group didn’t help Luke Skywalker and the rest of his friends. So, in this Abyss, are there other planets besides Tanalorr that Cal can explore? Maybe there is a mini-universe inside to justify a sequel.
2Why Did Darth Vader Let Cal Go?
Darth Vader onceagain shows up in this sub-series within the franchise as a boss fight. This time players take control of Cere as Darth Vader invades The Hidden Path’s library. In the end, he is able to kill Cere but not without suffering wounds too.

As Darth Vader is limping away, Cal appears seconds later to comfort Cere. Why didn’t Darth Vader fight or even address Cal and the same goes for Cal to Darth Vader. In his angered state, Cal could have easily taken Darth Vader on. It’s a weird way to finish the scene and the lack of any otherInquisitors is also strange inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor.
1Bode’s Mission
Bode’s mission doesn’t make a lot of sense in the game. He is recruited by the Empire to spy on Cal and to find the rest of his companions. Once he does, Bode doesn’t report it in. Also, he is in deep undercover territory because he kills a lot of his allies and blows up a bunch of Empire tech. It doesn’t seem cost-effective to allow Bode to run rampant like this.
Also, his turn against Cal doesn’t make sense as Cal was offering him a home away from the Empire where Kata would have been safe. There are so many questions about Bode left on the table.
