Star Warsinsider siteBespin Bulletinmanaged to obtain a few set photos from both upcoming series, and they’re kind of a mixed bag. While many of them don’t seem to reveal much aside from the fact that things exist, a couple of them could spark some interesting speculation. Mainly, a tarp-covered object can be seen that bears a noted resemblance to the assault tanks used by the Separatist army in theStar Warsprequels and other stories in that era.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crewwill star Jude Lawin an unknown role, but aside from that little else is currently known. It will be set after the events ofThe Return of the Jediand center on a group of children lost in space, offering a slightly clearer picture. However, the possible presence of a pre-Empire tank could mean a number of things. It could be anything from a repurposed piece of old tech to a holdout Separatist faction that’s persisted since the Clone Wars.
Meanwhile, another notable photo shows a studio lot with some barebones equipment scattered around for one ofStar Warsextended universe-inspiredThe Acolyte’ssets. It’s clear that this set is nowhere near complete, which gives the impression that it won’t be used right away when the series is scheduled to begin filming next month. Unfortunately, no other photos have been revealed, but that shouldn’t discourage speculation. This is a franchise that thrives on that sort of thing, after all.

BothSkeleton CrewandThe Acolyteare still a way off from their respective release dates, so here’s hoping this isn’t the last bit of info that claws its way out of that massive mouse-shaped vault.
