Summary

Fall is the most special season inStardew Valley, being the most lucrative of all four seasons. With valuable crops like Cranberries and Sweet Gem Berries, this season offers the potential to make any farmer the wealthiest citizen in Pelican Town. To exploit this period, players must carefully plan their harvests and choose the most profitable options to maximize their fall income. The followingtier list ranks all fall crops from worst to best based on profitability, helpingStardew Valleyfarmers make informed decisions for the season.

How Are the Profit Estimations Calculated?

The “Estimated Profit Per Crop” is calculated by multiplying the number of harvests for each plant by its base selling price. This estimate does not account for potential price increases from refined or processed forms of the crop. However, readers can see which Artisan item yields the highest profit for each crop in the info table provided under each entry.

Updated on Jun 14, 2025, By Mohsen Baqery:Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update revitalized the game’s farming by introducing a new crop for each season. For fall, this update brought Broccoli—a fun crop to grow, though not the most profitable. Despite this addition, the fall’s overall profit margins remained unchanged. With these updates in mind, the following list has been revised to rank all fall crops based on profitability. Additionally, the list now includes multi-season crops like Tea Leaves that can also be grown in fall.

Wheat isan essential crop for any farmer inStardew Valley,no matter their experience level. While only worth 25g,Wheatcan be ground into flour, which can be used in many types of dishes and baked goods, from simple to more complicated.

Wheat also grows during two seasons, so the harvest and growth period for it can be maximized. However, it needs to be replanted, which can make it generally a hassleto have the farmlandfull of. It’s a nice crop to have on the side for utility, but it’s not great for profit.

60-100g

Pickle (150g)

Thismulti-season cropis essential for farmers starting out in the game. While there are better, multi-harvest crops to cultivate on the farm,Cornlasts from summer through fall. Worth only 50g, Corn has great longevity.

Corn is mainly used to make cooking oil at an Oil Maker, but since cooking oil isn’t needed in bulk by the player and there are better items like truffles to turn into oil, it’s not the best investment.

80-160g

Oil (100g)

Sunflowerseeds are an expensive investment to make inStardew Valley. Farmers need to carefully manage their budgets if they want to grow these beautiful flowers that make great gifts for most villagers.

Sunflowers only make an 80g base profit from seeds worth 200g, but when harvested, they drop more seeds. The seeds can also be used to make cooking oil, which is needed to create recipes in the kitchen. While Sunflowers can be grown for both summer and fall, they’re not the greatest choice.

Eggplantis one of the autumnal plants that can bere-harvested after a few days. Each Eggplant goes for 60g and only takes 5 days to regrow. This makes the crop a worthy investment for farmerslooking to turn a quick profit.

Eggplants are also a decent choice for any cooks out there, as they can be used to make theSurvival Burgerand Eggplant Parmesan dishes. Moreover, Eggplant is required for the Fall Crops Bundle in the Community Center, so it should be one of the first choices of a player planning to complete the bundles as soon as possible.

160-320g

Pickle (370g)

Yams are a great autumnal substitute for potatoes that grow in the spring. Worth 160g, Yam is only harvestable twicethroughout fall. If players want to make a plentiful harvest of Yam during the fall, they’re going to have to plant quite a large amount of them.

The classicYamis required for players to complete the Fall Crops bundle located at the Community Center, so they’ll want to plant this as soon as possible if they plan on finishing the bundles quickly. Yams are also used to makeGlazed Yamsand Autumn’s Bounty dishes. The latter gives a great boost to Foraging and Defense.

50-55g

Tea Leavesaren’t particularly popular amongStardew Valleyfarmers for a couple of reasons. First, acquiring a Tea Sapling is challenging, as it is only available from the Traveling Cart. Second, Tea Leaves don’t offer the highest profit compared to other fall crops like Beets.

Despite these drawbacks, growing Tea Leaves has its benefits. For instance, they are needed to makeGreen Tea, which is a requirement for the Brewer’s Bundle in the Pantry (Remixed). However, focusing solely on Tea Leaves is unlikely to maximize profit for players looking to boost their earnings.

Pickle (190g)

The 1.6 update that was highly anticipated forStardew Valleyintroduced one new crop for each season. Fall receivedBroccoli, which can’t be bought from any vendors except for the Raccoon Wife’s Shop. It is also found randomly bydigging around Artifact Spots, breaking any of the wooden crates in the Mines, or using Mayor Lewis' prize machine.

Broccoli doesn’t currently have any special uses other than sewing. Once planted, it can be harvested within eight days, which is a fairly long growth time, especially given the measly profit it gives, even at the Iridium quality level. That said, it can be harvested again every four days after its first harvest.

100-200g

Pickle (250g)

Beetis a reliable crop with seeds that only cost 20g, leading to an ROI (Return on Investment) of 80g. However, Beet takes6 days to grow, meaning it can only be harvested a few times throughout the fall.

Beets are also limited in availability since their seeds can only be purchasedfrom Sandy’s store in Calico Desert. The player will have to wait until they can fix the bus to access it and a few other particular crops.

150-300g

Pickle (350g)

Similar to Beets,Amaranthare only harvestable a few times a month but is worth quite a decent amount. Its selling price is 150g, and it is a crop used to make juice as well as a great gift for friends. If players are looking togrow closer to the inhabitants ofStardew Valley, Amaranth is a decent crop to grow.

Amaranth is also used ina side quest with Marnie, so it’s good to have some on hand during the first year of the game.

Pickle (210g)

Bok Choyis another crop like the Eggplant that doesn’t take very long to grow.Harvestable in just 4 days,Bok Choy is a great plant for farmers looking to make money fast. This crop costs 50g but turns a profit of 80g at the lowest rarity.

Although Bok Choy isn’t used in any of the Community Center bundles, it does see use in theSuper Mealdish, the recipe for which can be acquired by befriending Kent. The Super Meal provides a ton of maximum energy and a speed boost, so planting a few Bok Choys for this recipe isn’t a bad idea.
