TheDragon Ballanime has been in existence for over 35-years making one of thelongest running anime popular with western audiences. With so many movies and specials released for the series throughout the years, some have fallen through the cracks being forgotten by fans over time.
Some of these specials never received English dubs and even more never received physical releases. With them being so hard to find except by the most die-hard fans, it’s no surprise that most have forgotten they even existed at all.

Goku’s Traffic Safety
Back in the 80s and 90s, several anime characters were recruited to help teach various safety concepts to children. With evenMario having his own safety-related anime, it comes as no surprise that Goku and the gang would be asked to do the same with how popular the series was.
The special does show a few cool fight scenes before Goku and the gang head to West City to attend Bulma’s birthday party. Along the way, they meet a young boy who almost gets hits by a truck before Goku can save him and learn various bits of traffic safety as they attempt to get to Bulma’s house while getting lost along the way.
Goku’s Fire Brigade
Goku’s Fire Brigadewas another safety-focused special. The special starts with children playing wrecklessly with fireworks and almost lighting a trash can on fire before Goku comes to put it out. After that, they go to the sound of fire trucks and learn more about various ways that people who aren’t safe with fire could potentially hurt themselves and others from the various Z Fighters.

The children learn their lesson and are even able to call firefighters in to save Bulma after her apartment catches on fire. It seems Bulma wasn’t being careful either! Thankfully, she learns her lesson just like the kids did.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Skytree Super
ThisDragon Specialspecial screened at the Tokyo Skytree fell under the radar of most fans who didn’t live in Japan as they had no way to watch it. It was a unique ad forthe incoming Broly movie but actually didn’t feature the characterin any way. Instead, it showed bits with Goku, Frieza, and Shenron but little else on its unique collection of screens.
Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate Super Saiyans OVA Remake
Dragon Ball Z: Plan to Eradicate Super Saiyans was released all the way back in 1993 making the quality of the original a bit bad compared to newer releases. Oddly enough, a completely remade version was release exclusively as a special feature onthe PS3 and XBox 360 gameDragonball Raging Blast 2.

The special was originally made to help introduced characters for a Japanese Nintendo game. The remake’s quality makesDragon Ball Z Kailook pathetic by comparison, leaving fans wishing that the series could have had this quality.
Looking Back at it All: The Dragon Ball Z Year-End Show!
Looking Back at it All: The Dragon Ball Z Year-End Show!is likely the most forgotten special among all of those created forDragon Ball. It was never officially released outside of airing on television and never had a dubbed version released either.
The short special features Gohan, Goten, and Goku going over the events that happened in the Cell Games as well as Goku telling the story ofthe Other World Tournament and his fight against Pikkon. It’s essentially a short recap episode which explains why it wasn’t included in future releases, but does feature some unique scenes made by Toei Animation.
Dragon Ball Z: Summer Vacation Special
Dragon Ball Z: Summer Vacation Specialis likely the only time fans will be able to see Goku put on a tuxedo. While there are two troublemakers attacking West City that Goku and Gohan take down, the rest of the special is focused on recapping the first three Dragon Ball movies —Curse of the Blood Rubies,Sleeping Princess in Devil’s Castle, andMystical Adventure— as well as the first six Dragon Ball Z movies —Dead Zone,The World’s Strongest,The Tree of Might,Lord Slug,Cooler’s Revenge, andThe Return of Cooler.
The entire special only ever aired on TV and has never received a physical release and was never given an English dub. The special was made to promote the next movie in the series,Dragon Ball Z: Super Android 13!, to encourage fans to see it in theaters. Still, the special has not been entirely forgotten by the series' creators. InDragon Ball Xenoverse 2,players can unlock a tuxedo as an outfit which looks exactly like the one Goku wears in the special.
