Elden Ringis packed with secrets, mysteries, and over 300 unique armaments to slay terrifying bosses. Most of these can be obtained as players progress by killing bosses and exploring the Lands in Between, but FromSoftware is notorious for making it tough to acquire particular weapons. They do this by hiding the weapons behind illusory walls and even decreasing weapon drop rates to as low as 0.5% per kill.

The title is gaining traction once again after the announcement of the DLC,Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. As such, new players and veterans alike are looking for reasons to jump right back in.Changing up primary weapons in buildsis a great way to refresh the gameplay experience, especially with myriad areas to explore and bosses to slay, perhaps once again.

Elden Ring - Euporia Build - Pros & Cons

All drop-rate percentages are calculated with 100 points in Item Discovery.

Updated June 27, 2025 by Erik Petrovich: The rarest Elden Ring weapons aren’t necessarily the best Elden Ring weapons – they are just the weapons that you are very unlikely to see across a normal playthrough without farming them. But these rarest Elden Ring weapons are still significant in terms of their place in the game’s lore, and knowing the context for each weapon’s existence makes them feel way more rewarding to get. If you know the Euporia Twinblade is essentially a representation of Miquella’s will, for example, it makes sense why it doesn’t work on Those Who Live In Death. This guide to the Elden Ring rarest weapons has been updated to provide an abridged version of each item’s description, to include the important lore details for the rarest Elden Ring weapons but not their unique effects. Each weapons' unique effect, if applicable, is described in each entry below.

Rotten Crystal Spear and Rotten Crystal Sword in Elden Ring

A Secret Item Found At The End Of The Elden Ring DLC

Twinblade symbolizing abundance. The secret treasure of the tower.

Though the blades, fashioned from golden shoots, are largely wilted and darkened, their luster can be restored by dealing damage to foes.

However, damage dealt to Those Who Live in Death will have no such effect.

Haligtree Crest Greatshield in Elden Ring

Though this is not technically one of the rarestElden Ringweapons, it is rare in that most players have not acquired it. That’s because not only isthe Euporia Twinblade hiddenin an out-of-the-way secret location, its hidden location cannot be found until nearly the end of theElden RingDLC. But it’s well worth going out of your way for because it happens to also be one of the best Twinblades in the game, thanks in part to its powerful Ash of War.

The Euporia Twinblade scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith, and deals a split of Physical and Holy damage (slightly favoring Holy damage). But its Ash of War called Euporia Vortex is what makes this weapon so strong. When used, the Tarnished will raise their blade up, empower it, and then rapidly spin as it comes crashing down to your target. After the weapon is finished spinning, it will fire out some beams of Holy damage, too.

But that’s not all – as you continue to attack enemies in rapid succession, the Euporia Vortex skill becomes empowered (unless you attack Those Who Live In Death). If you hit an enemy enough times within about a ten-second-long time frame, you will gain a 5% damage buff and your weapon will start glowing. Then, if you use Euporia Vortex with this buff active, it will last longer, deal more damage, and blast the area with Holy damage in a wide beam.

But if you want to try out this visually impressive and surprisingly hard-hitting Twinblade, you’ll have to find it first, and that’s a lot easier said than done.
