Netflix’s newThe Witcherseries has been making massive waves through the world and popular culture since it arrived in late 2019, even affecting the world of gaming as the thirdWitchergame has enjoyed higher popularity nowthan when it launched. As a result, the new series has been no stranger to fan art since it has become such a huge sensation.
One fan art twitter channel, Fakes Forge, has recently been giving a lot of attention to the NetflixThe Witcherseries, as well as other popular fantasy works likeGame of Thrones. However, the current shout-out involves a crossover that Fakes Forge has made betweenThe Witcherand another wildly popular piece of film from 2019,Joker.

The image shows Henry Cavill’s Geralt fromThe Witcherin the final clown makeup that Joaqine Phoenix’s Arthur Fleck from DC’sJoker. Seeing Geralt in such bright colors seems fairly out of place, especially without the golden eyes thatHenry Cavill almost went blindto keep on during the grueling filming process. Although, while clearly nothing more than fan service, the image does show how terrifying a crossover between the show and the movie could be.
This is far from the last piece of artwork made forThe Witcher, nor is it the only edit that Fakes Forge has made for the new show since it arrived last month. One image on the art page even blendsThe Witcherseries with the games made by CD Projekt Red that were based off of the same books and lore as the Netflix show. In this case, it’s instead the HUD from the game that is superimposed onto a screenshot from the show that brings the two worlds together, similar to how many players have brought the show intoWitcher 3: Wild Huntwith Henry Cavill mods and even the"Toss A Coin To Your Witcher"song.
With so much attention gathering around Netflix’s newest hit show, there is sure to be a cavalcade of fan creations gathering around the series as artists and creators continue to express themselves through a shared love ofThe Witcher. In the case of Fakes Forge, there are surely going to be more photoshopped images and edits coming from the Twitter account as more and more crossover art and alterations are made. As for other creators, the show is still a fairly recent release, so there is likely plenty more to come in the future on top of what fans have already made, like thegrunting Geralt supercut.
