Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandshas finally shown off gameplay, and the latest trailer for Tina’s new adventure does not disappoint. The locations shown in the footage are extremely colorful, the enemies are varied, and the new mechanics get a chance to shine.Spells and melee weaponslook extremely powerful, while the overworld map makes the fantasy setting even more immersive.

However, while theTiny Tina’s Wonderlandstrailer focuses mainly on the titular character’s fictional world, there is a brief look at the “real”Borderlandsuniverse once the trailer comes to an end. While Tina can be seen in an adorable wizard hat, as she is clearly having fun with her game, she is accompanied by two never-before-seen characters. While their names are not directly revealed in the trailer, fans can use subtitles to get confirmation on who they are - and it will be interesting to see what is done with them in futureBorderlandsgames.

Frette And Valentine In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

WhileWill Arnett’s Dragon Lordis purely fictional, as he exists inside of Tina’s Bunkers and Badasses campaign, Valentine and Frette are as real as it gets. Valentine is the man wearing a bit of armor on his shoulder and bullets on his vest, while Frette is the robot that says “I’m in” during the same scene. These two characters are voiced by Andy Samberg and Wanda Sykes respectively, and given the two actors’ reputations for comedy, they should provide plenty of laughs in all their scenes.

Only a few details have been shared for these two new characters, but both should have great chemistry withthe fan favorite Tiny Tina. In the case of Frette, she is described as being “rule-obsessed,” which is something that could get in the way of Tina’s love for randomness in her campaigns. As for Valentine, he is described as “headstrong,” something that may see him getting into battles that are a bit tough on the player characters. Frette and Valentine seem like they could both prove popular, and if they do, it will be interesting to see ifBorderlands 4works them into the story.

Why Frette And Valentine Are So Mysterious

What is particularly interesting about Frette and Valentine is that they have not appeared in any other games. These are completely new characters, and it will be interesting to see how they met Tina and why they are involved with her latest campaign. WithTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsset shortly afterBorderlands 2and several years beforeBorderlands 3, Tina could have easily asked her friends Brick and Mordecai to play. As such, why she chose to instead start a game with these two unknown characters will be important to touch on.

One interesting note is that Valentine is also described as a “captain,” so much likeBorderlands 3’s Moze, he could be part of a military like Vladof’s. The ammunition on his shoulder would suggest some sort of combat experience as well. As for Frette, fans should not get their hopes up for a connection toZer0 and FL4K. Based on the officialBorderlandswebsite, her name is not stylized as “FR3TTE,” with no number connection able to be seen. There are also several kinds of robots inBorderlands, so she could just be a harmless machine.

There is a chance that Frette and Valentine end up like characters in other prequels, with the duo being introduced and written out in the same story. It is not unheard of for a new character to have a big role in aBorderlandsgame and then disappear, either, asTales from the Borderlands’ Gortysand Fiona are examples of this. While they could still show up, it remains to be seen if that will ever happen. Hopefully, fans get some answers on where Frette and Valentine came from. More importantly, it would be great to learn where these mysterious friends of Tina’s were during the events ofBorderlands 3.
