Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsdoubles down on itsDungeons and Dragonsinspirations through its customization system, with players able to alter every aspect of their protagonist. However, this can have some very funny effects, something that oneTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsfan found when entering the Overworld.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ Overworld mapis one major way that the spin-off differentiates itself from the mainBorderlandsgames. In the Overworld, gamers can complete small side quests, trigger random encounters, and complete dungeons to finish shrines for their permanent buffs. When in the Overworld, player characters are adjusted to better fit its cutesy aesthetic, getting massive heads that help them stand out a bit. With a top-down perspective also used, the big heads can look extremely funny depending on how players have customized their protagonist.

However, while the big-headed Overworld characters normally serve as a good source ofhumor inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, one Redditor’s experience with them was unique to say the least. At the start of a clip posted by Reddit user UberNyuber, the player’s character can be seen clearly. Standing in front of a neat Butt Stallion banner, the most unique and recognizable aspect of the design is the massive hat atop the Fatemaker’s head. While this looks solid inside the game’s menu, things take a turn once the perspective shifts to the Overworld.
The Redditor’s title sees them claiming that they “play as a hat,” and it quickly becomes clear that they are not exaggerating. As they walk across the map, they are essentially a moving circle, with their character’s body completely hidden beneath the massive piece of headwear. Seeing the circular object waddle around is silly and adorable, and it shows that anythingTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsplayerswear atop their heads will get a massive size increase whenever they are roaming around the Overworld map.
While this clip is hilarious, the Redditor also showcases the downside of the massive hat. At the end of the clip, they can be seen getting stuck between two trees, showing that the hat’s size can be problematic. Further, it could be harder toslapTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsenemiesand stop random encounters from taking place, as it will be difficult to tell if they are close enough or if gamers are facing the right direction. While the hat may look good in regular gameplay, its funny appearance in the Overworld could be slightly problematic.
While this is a far from a major issue, as the player can hop intoTiny Tina’s Wonderlands' character creatorat any point to remove the hat, the clip is interesting. Both funny and frustrating, the cosmetic proves that gamers really can be anything inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands- even a hat.
