Vampiric powers inV Risingare what players use to traverse the world and grow their dark empire. There are different kinds of Vampiric Powers, including Shapeshifting and Blood Powers. There are five Blood Powers, many of which are unlocked by defeating V Blood Bosses, or completing quests.

5Blood Hunger
Identify Potential Targets At A Distance
Blood Hungeris an ability players unlock after defeating V Blood Boss Tristan the Vampire Hunter. This power causes all living beings to clearly display theirblood typeand quality above their head, which can make scanning a group of enemies for a potential target easier. This is notable because all enemies, regardless of blood quality, look the same at a distance, except for blood quality of 95% and above.
However, players can also hover over the creature in question to receive the same information, with the only exception being sleeping bears. Further, using this ability locks them out of using any other Vampire Power (such as the wolf orrat form). As a result, it doesn’t feel rewarding to use Blood Hunger in most situations.
4Expose Vein
Key To Your Multiplayer Experience
In contrast, whileExpose Veinis also a situational power, it is one that most multiplayer users will be glad to have. This ability allows one player to split their current blood between themselves and another player, conferring any blood type bonuses while doing so. This means that when a squad of players is lucky enough to find a 100% Blood Quality enemy, even though only one can feed from them, the others can still get the benefit.
However, if you are playing solo, this power has no use. Additionally, it may grant the same bonuses to both parties when used, but effectively halves the time of the Blood type Buff. When possible, it is better to capture andmake a prisonfor high quality blood carriers, and then create multiple blood potions instead.
3Dominate Mount
Adds Much Needed Functionality To Mounts
The horses found in the Dunely Farmlands and Silverlight Hills regions of Vardoran certainly speed up travel, despite being clunky. They even allow players to fight while mounted, to feel like a real knight. However, something that shocks many newbies is that their horses suffer damage, and are actually quite fragile. Normal horses require a steady supply of food, need to be kept away from enemy fire, and will not respawn when they die.
Luckily, theDominate MountBlood Power players unlock by completing the quest “A Castle To The Sky” fixes most of these issues. Dominate Mount turns your horse into a servant of darkness, anda vampiric stead. This new horse type doesn’t require food, can be summoned regardless of distance, can be revived after death, and has the same Spectral Leap ability as the player’s wolf form. Overall, this is a great quality of life feature.
2Dominate Human
Dominate Humanis a key blood power for the creation of Vampire Servants, the filling and maintaining of your prison, and really makes you feel like a dark lord. This power, when activated, grants the ability Subdue Human, which takes the place of one of your spells on the hotbar. This ability will cast a purple strand on the human in question, slowly draining them of life until they reach 30%. Then, it will pacify them, causing the enemy to follow you around.
At this point, you’re able to escort them back to a Servant Coffin or Prison Cell, kill them outright, or use a Dusk Caller Stone to teleport them home. However, enemies will attack subdued humans, so it is easy to lose out on potential blood bags in the process.
1Blood Mend
Never Say No To (Nearly) Free Healing
First on the list is the core Vampire Blood Power,Blood Mend. This power will see use early and often, and is so key that it is included in the game’s limited tutorial. Blood Mend is by far the cheapest way for players to heal themselves inV Rising, costing 0.1 liters of blood per second in return for regaining 5% of your max HP per tick.
However, you’ll notice that there is a grayed out section of your healthbar while it is active. The line shown is the amount you are able to heal using this or a similar ability in combat. This does limit its effectiveness, as does the fact that using up your blood reserves can potentially make you lose out on a cool Blood Type Buff. Still, never say no to cheap heals.
