Just as one might expect from avideo game in which the main protagonist is a detective, players will be expected to make a lot of difficult decisions inNobody Wants to Die. The first real example of this can be found during the game’s opening stages while James is investigating the incident at Green Tower.

IfNobody Wants to Dieplayers head upstairs to the mezzanine area and make their way over to the desk, they’ll find sometop-secret documentsthat seem to implicate a lot of powerful people, including James' boss Chief Steiner. After reading through them, they’ll need to decide whether to leave the documents or burn them.

Should You Leave or Burn the Documents at Green Tower?

When it comes to the final outcome of the main story,it doesn’t really matter whether players choose to leave the documents or burn them. The choice that they make will unlock some unique dialog options later on, but none of these have any kind of impact on the way that the narrative concludes. As such, players should do whatever they think is right.

Players will unlock a Trophy / Achievement regardless of which option they choose. If they burn the documents, they’ll unlock Firestarter, whileleaving the documents unlocks Cold Case.

What Are the Most Important Choices in Nobody Wants to Die?

Although a lot of the choices that players are faced with can affect the contents of the voicemail message that plays over the end credits, when it comes to the main story, there are only really two choices that matter inNobody Wants to Die, both of which come during the game’s closing stages. Aftersolving the third evidence board, Sara will ask James who he thinks is responsible, with the player’s choice having a big impact on the ending that they get. Not long after that, players will be asked whether or not they want to shoot a woman in Central Park, which will again help to determine how things end.

Other choices inNobody Wants to Dieare a lot more subtle, often unlocking secret dialog options or changing the way that James and Sara interact with one another. For example, if players burn the aforementioned documents for the chief, they’ll be able to try and call in a favor later on. While exploring Green Tower, players will have the option to say that UV light is dangerous, which will result in Sara making fun of James' fear of UV whenever blood or an unknown substance needs to be analyzed. Neither example really changesthe ending ofNobody Wants to Die, but they do help to make each playthrough feel unique.
