Summary

Star Wars Outlawsis set for release later this year. Lots of features have already been confirmed for theStar Wars Outlaws, as well as a list of planets that will appear in the game. The game also features a new protagonist by the name of Kay Vess who is attempting to pull off the biggest heist the Outer Rim has seen.

Unlike other recent protagonists inStar Warsvideo games, Kay Vess is a scoundrel like the iconic Han Solo. But unlike many otherStar Warsoutings, the planets featured inOutlawsdon’t seem to abide by canon iconography and fan service, at least not wholly, and that could be toOutlaws' advantage.

The List of Planets in Star Wars Outlaws is Ideal for Kay Vess’ Story

New Planets Mean Kay Vess Won’t be Treading Other Character’s Stories

From Coruscant and Naboo to Kashyyyk and Endor, many of these planets have been trodden by other characters and featured inotherStar Warsgames. Although some could argue that Tatooine is a thoroughly explored planet, the oversaturated world is perfect to feature in aStar Warsgame that focuses on the criminal underworld.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderfeatured Kashyyyk, andSurvivorfeatured Coruscant.

Tatooine is a seedy planet full of scoundrels and villains, or to put it in the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi, “scum and villainy.” Therefore, even though Kay will literally be standing where Luke Skywalker stood in Jabba’s Palace, Tatooine doesn’t mean that Kay Vess will be treading the steps of other characters entirely. Still, it’s impossible to deny that Tatooine providesOutlawswiththe opportunity to bring in famousStar Warscameos.

Diverse Open-World Planets Gives Kay Vess The Chance to Have Her Own Story

WithStar Wars Outlawsfeaturing planets and moons that are new or haven’t really been expanded on before, it allows Kay’s story to flourish. Each location could givethe chance for Kay’s story to bloomin different ways. For example, Tatooine would allow Kay to shine as a scoundrel, as it is the perfect playground for scoundrels with plenty of opportunities for them due to the presence of gangsters and bounty hunters. The new moon of Toshara can stand out as a brand-new location not just for players, but also the protagonist of the game. If Kay hasn’t been to Toshara before, this could add a new level of depth to Kay’s story, as she’d be treading the ground of a moon that no otherStar Warsprotagonist has been to before.

It will be fascinating to see how these areas will intertwine with Kay’s story. The planet Kijimi could have Kay running into the Spice Runners, who was first seen inRise of Skywalker, and Cantonica could invoke a bit of a gambling to show a competitive side of Kay. These planets could even present the opportunity for various bounty hunters to chase after Kay, possibly allowingStar Wars Outlawsto introduce well-known bounty hunters.

The Spotlight on These Planets Will Allow Players to Discover More of the Star Wars Galaxy

Apart from Tatooine, the confirmed planets forStar Wars Outlawshaven’t been explored in detail, and Toshara is an entirely new moon created forStar Wars Outlaws. These planets and moons could provide new insight and lore about theStar Warsgalaxy for players, allowing players to explore fresh areas within the franchise.

All these planets and moons have a connection of some sort to the criminal underworld, and players haven’t seen much of the criminal underworld in recentStar Warsgames (apart from the bounty-hunting side story inStar Wars Jedi: Survivor). It’s unclear if there will be more planets in the game whenStar Wars Outlawsreleases, but the current lineup of planets should provide a thrilling experience for gamers.
