Summary

It seems as thoughSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguejust can’t catch a break. After an almost year-long delay following the dismal reception to its first big gameplay reveal back in February,Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Leaguehas just come out of hiding, and Rocksteady is doing its very best to remain transparent about what fans can expect from the game upon its February 2024 launch date. But just as some fans were starting to warm toSuicide Squad’s gameplay and premise, the game suffered a major leak, revealing some pretty gigantic spoilers for the game’s story.

While these story leaks are currently the talk of the town, they’re not the leaks that are going to be discussed here. Instead, it’sSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s post-launch content that’s the topic of conversation. Just a few weeks ago, some rumors started circulating the internet, all revolving aroundSuicide Squad’s supposed post-launch DLC characters. Taking the form of emojis cryptically posted by leaker Miller Ross, many of these alleged characters haven’t even been confirmed by Ross yet, though it would make complete sense for one of them to be Killer Frost.

In a post that’s now seemingly been deleted or taken down, long-timeleaker Miller Rossposted a series of emojis on Twitter, with each emoji apparently representing one ofSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s as-of-yet unannounced DLC characters. While some of these emojis have been clarified by Ross, such as the green pistol being to Deathstroke and the crocodile being Killer Croc, some have been left unconfirmed by Ross, with a frozen face emoji being one of the most discussed.

Initially, many fans thought that this frozen face might have represented Captain Cold, a staple villain of The Flash. But with The Flash already having villain representation with Captain Boomerang, some fans quickly changed their mind. Mr. Freeze was another popular suggestion, but much like Captain Cold, Batman already has more than enough villain representation thanks to bothHarley Quinn and Deadshotappearing on the team already. Now, the most apparent theory points toward the frozen face being Killer Frost, a character who would, admittedly, make a lot of sense inSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

Miller Ross eventually clarified that Killer Frost would indeed be the ice emoji character, adding that she will be muscular and have a wife.

Not only would Killer Frost make complete sense as aSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s post-launch character, but she’d also tick some much-needed boxes for the game. As it stands,Suicide Squad’s teamonly has one woman on it, and while Deadshot, Boomerang, and King Shark all certainly deserve a spot on the roster, it would be great to see some of DC’s many female supervillains get their time to shine as well.

The currentTask Force X line-upis also lacking a member with any actual flashy superpowers. While King Shark can jump high and Boomerang is tapping into the Speedforce thanks to his new stolen gauntlet, the majority of the team is still relying on conventional weaponry and mechanical gadgetry to traverse Metropolis and take down enemies. Killer Frost’s Cryokinesis would act as a nice change of pace, giving players a much more stylish way to traverse and attack their targets.

Bringing Killer Frost to the game would also pave the way for Firestorm to come toSuicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, potentially as a new boss. If the game makes good on its titular promise and the Suicide Squad does actually end up wiping out the Justice League, then it’s going to need to find some new bosses from somewhere, and secondary superheroes like Firestorm could be a good option.
