WhenWorld of Warcraftfirst released in 2004, no one expected the MMORPG based onWarcraft’sRTS roots to take over the genre in a short amount of time. Over a decade later, this MMO titan still reigns supreme in the face of other competitors just asShadowlandsprepares to releaselater this month. But before players can step into the new expansion, they can first celebrateWorld of Warcraft’s16th anniversary.
Although every year brings new adventures, the everchanging nature ofWoWmeans previous content is often skipped over until players vastly outscale it or even removed from the game. However, each anniversary celebrates the older days of Azeroth with the most recent ones even reviving original content that has been changed or gone for years. This time, the 2020 celebration will last from November 1st to November 22nd and features everything players are familiar with from past anniversaries.

While this reputation bonus comes on the heels of losing100-percent increased reputation forBfAandLegion, it does work on all reputations regardless of expansion. Furthermore, the increased experience will make leveling to 50 even faster than usual considering the recent pre-patch already sped things up.
Korrak’s Revenge
Originally introduced duringWorld of Warcraft’s15th anniversary, the first version of Alterac Valley returns once again. Players who used thisClassicbattleground last year to level many alts will be disappointed to hear that the experience for each match has been significantly nerfed. Besides these methods, players can also get 5 Timewarped Badges each day by correctly answer a question aboutWarcraft’shistory within the Caverns of Time. Even though these badges should mostly be saved for mounts and toys during other Timewalking events, players may choose to buy several exclusive items from the event shop NPC Historian Ma’di.
Since the 16th-anniversary event is basically a rerun of the past few years, anyone who has played duringBattle for Azerothwill need to wait a bit longer for new content. However, newcomers and returning heroes should find that the celebration helps them gear up their characters beforethe Scourge Invasionhits on November 10th.
