World of Warcraftis bringing back a feature after removing it three years ago. The system broke duringShadowlands, butWorld of Warcrafthas finally fixed it and is adding it back in an upcomingDragonflightupdate.
Patch 10.1.5 forDragonflightis currently in development, with builds available for testing on theWorld of WarcraftPublic Test Realm. The content update is adding some great quality of life improvements, including somecolorful upgrades toWoW’s UI.

One of these new features is one that was removed several years ago.World of Warcraftis re-adding an old feature used to sort characters on the character select screen. OncePatch 10.1.5 comes toWoW, players can click and drag their characters around to reorganize them quickly. With up to 60 available character slots per realm, this new feature will make managing one’s characters much easier.
ThisWorld of Warcraftfeature may be familiar to players who have played the game for some time. Thecharacter creation overhaul fromShadowlandsbroke the system, causing the game to scramble characters around the screen when they tried to reorganize them.WoWremoved the feature inDragonflight, replacing it with buttons that shift entries up and down instead. While this has worked as a fine substitute in the meantime, it seemsWorld of Warcraftis removing these buttons in favor of the click and drag system again.
Fans are understandably excited about having this feature added back to the game.World of Warcraftremoved it without much fanfare the first time, so some players were confused when it disappearedwith the launch ofDragonflight. Though it tookWoWalmost three years to fix this feature, most fans are glad it is coming back at all.
Patch 10.1.5 is bringing tons of interesting content toWoW. In addition to quality of life updates like these, the content update is adding Dawn of the Infinite, a sprawling megadungeon that brings characters across the Timeways as they attempt to save Nozdormu from his dark fate. Players will also be able to experience Time Rifts–a new repeatable world activity involving alternate histories of Azeroth that explorehypothetical scenarios featuring some popularWorld of Warcraftcharacters. Were that not enough, players will also be able to make Warlocks of any playable race. The patch doesn’t have an official release date yet, but players can expect it to release some time this summer.
