The nextWorld of Warcraftlimited-time event is here, and beckons players to return to one of the most beloved expansions in the game’s history:Mists of Pandaria. CalledMists of Pandaria Remix, new content is intended to create a fresh way to expansion with new abilities and gear, while also collecting an enormousvariety of transmogandMoPcollectibles.
Though it separate from the regular game,WoW MoP Remixunlockables tie directly to retailWoW,allowingplayers to use every transmog, mount, and other cosmetic options on their regular characters. What Is MoP Remix – The Basics
World of Warcraft’sMists of Pandaria Remixbrings players back to Pandaria, but with a few twists. Though much of it is just as we remember – including previously-inaccessible Scenarios and other time-lostMoPcontent – there are a few things that make this temporary game mode worth returning to, especiallyif you are a cosmetic collector.
Quests, dungeons, raids, and all otherMists of Pandariacontent remains largely untouched, but this isn’tMoP Classic. Not exactly.
It won’t be around forever, butMoP Remixgives players a way to level up new Alts, collect new and rare cosmetics from the expansion, and experience one of the most-belovedWoWexpansions with a fresh coat of paint.
How To Start MoP Remix
To start MoP Remix, players simply have to click on the logo on the character select screen, to the right of theDragonflightlogo. Here, you are invited to create a Timerunner character for the event, who will start at Level 10 and automatically begin their journeys in Pandaria content. These characters will be transferred to normal Retail realms once the event ends.
New MoP Remix Features, Explained
Collect Bronze To Unlock Timerunning Rewards
Timerunner characters created for the event can earn a new currency called Bronze, which is used to purchase almost any cosmetic, mount, or other collectible from the entire expansion – even items that normally take a long time to farm, orWoWcollectibles that are no longer in the game. It’s also used for gear upgrades and a host of other possible rewards inMoP Remix.
You can get Bronze inMoP Remixfrom Caches of Infinite Treasure as Quest rewards or by completing just about any other activity, from killing mobs to beating the Throne of Thunder raid. Almost every reward choice in the expansion has been revamped – all quest rewards, all treasure chest finds, all boss drops, and everything else in between – to include Caches of Infinite Treasure and Bronze.
A New Legendary Wrathion Cloak To Upgrade
InMoP Remix, players are almost immediately given a new Wrathion Legendary Cloak to level up,harking back to theMists of Pandariadays. The Cloak of Infinite Potential is an item you will keep equipped throughout your entire leveling journey and likely into theMoP Remixendgame.
The Cloak of Infinite Potential uses Threads for its upgrades, which gain strength the higher level you are, and the rarer the Thread you find. Just like with Prismatic Gems, there are four tiers of Threads, one for the 1-30 bracket, one for 30 to 50, one for 50 to 60, and the strongest Threads available from 60 to 70.
MoP Remix Gem & Armor Upgrade Systems
Timerunners characters are able to collect Gems, which empower or grant new abilities for every class in the game – that’s right, you can even bring an Evoker intoMoP Remix. There are three types of Gems: Cogwheel Gems, Tinker Gems, and Prismatic Gems.
Gems can be purchased with Bronze or found while completingMoP Remixcontent.
Restored Group Content, Level-Up Raids, And Scenarios
A huge feature that has been restored inMoP Remixis the return ofMists of Pandariagroup content that was previously inaccessible or difficult to farm.
Endgame content like the Isle of Thunder will be unlocked from the beginning, and other scenarios that have not been playable since the expansion’s end have been restored.
Several difficulties of dungeons and raids will also be available, and just like in the Season of Discovery forWoW Classic, these raids will be available as players level up – the first unlocks at Level 25. InMoP Remix, LFR and all group-finding tools are available very early, making it possible to grind out group content and get their associated rewards while leveling up.
Mists Of Pandaria Remix Offers New Rewards
Transmog, Mounts, Toys, & More
Aside from being able to experience missingMists of Pandariacontent and level fresh characters in its timeless setting, cosmetics are the main draw ofMoP Remix. At Infinite Bazaar vendors throughout Pandaria, typically in each zone’s major hub, you will find a huge variety of collectible items to purchase – many of which are either no longer normally obtainable in-game, or are incredibly difficult to farm.
In fact, practically every single toy,transmog and appearance, mount, pet, and every other cosmetic and collectible fromMoPis available to buy with Bronze. The full list of available items is remarkably long, but the more exclusive or high-level the item, the higher the Bronze price will be.
Unlike the previous time-limited event inWoW,the Plunderstorm event, everything you collect with a Timerunner character transfers to retail. All of the transmog you acquire, all pets and mounts that you collect, and everything else that can be account bound,isaccount bound and will be accessible on all of your regular retail characters.
It’s a great time to be aWorld of Warcraftplayer, and theMists of PandariaRemix event is a great way to spend the months leading up toThe War Within. Collect some new appearances, grab a few new mounts, and level up new characters that you will be able to play when the nextWoWexpansion launches.
