World of Warcraftjust revealed that Patch 10.1.7 is coming out on September 5. This next content update, titled Fury Incarnate, is the last one before Patch 10.2, which will mark the start ofWorld of Warcraft: DragonflightSeason 3.

For the last several weeks,World of Warcrafthas been testing many of the features of Patch 10.1.7on the Public Test Realm in anticipation of its impending release. Fury Incarnate may not be one ofWorld of Warcraft’s major content updates like 10.1, but it still boasts an impressive amount of things for players to do.

Once the nextWorld of Warcraftupdate arrives on September 5, fans will be able to access a new collection of story quests. Players can expect the patch to lay the groundwork forDragonflightPatch 10.2, and will get a continuation of the Silver Purpose questline revolving around reforging Keeper Tyr. Additionally, Heritage Armor questlines for the Forsaken and Night Elves will reward some incredible cosmetic armor sets, and a new quest revolving around the Draenei will unlock Man’ari Eredar customizations for the race.

Fury Incarnate is also adding some exciting new events toWoW. Dreamsurges are a world event similar to Fyrakk Assauts. A different Dragon Isles zone will be affected each week, where players canencounter familiar villains fromWorld of Warcrafthistory, earn catch-up gear, and access special boons, including experience boosts and helpful NPC vendors. Fans can also look forward to Eastern Kingdoms Dragonriding race events, as well as an overhaul to the iconic Hallow’s End encounter.

This update will also bring some nice quality of life updates toDragonflight. Patch 10.1.7 is introducing aping system toWorld of Warcraft, and the Sell All Junk button will finally be implemented into the game after being delayed from Patch 10.1.5. These features, plus the usual class balances, are just some of the things coming in Fury Incarnate.

Patch 10.1.7 is the fifth of six planned content updates forWorld of Warcraftin 2023. The sixth and final patch, 10.2, will probably arrive about two months later. With BlizzCon taking place in early November, some theorizeWoWwill release it the week following the convention, if not before. Either way, players can expect to learn more information about the next major update shortly after Patch 10.1.7 drops, and possibly details aboutWorld of Warcraft’s next expansion at BlizzConitself.
