Updated on July 30, 2025, by Jake Fillery:Homelander’s sinister steak continues through Season 4 of The Boys. It seems there is no stopping Homelander from committing acts most diabolical, and nobody is strong enough to stand up to his perverse tyranny of violence and abuse. Over the years, Homelander has become more unhinged, which has allowed him to get away with worse than just murder.
12Deafened A Blind Superhero
Homelander Robs Blindspot Of His Hearing
When the Seven were having tryouts for their newest member, the people at Vought thought it best to include someone who would bring further diversity and inclusivity into the team and wanted to show Homelander the potential of Blindspot. This superhero may have been blind, but they had the heightened senses of hearing and the martial arts expertise to make them legendary fighters.
Homelander was not impressed and robbed Blindspot of his hearing by deafening him with the power of clapping his hands against the man’s ears. The fact that Homelander would abuse his power so much to injure those less fortunate than him proves that there is no saving this evil Superman.

Homelander Forces A-Train, Deep, And Black Noir To Kill His Loyal Innocent Fans
Homelander has plans bigger than just controlling Vought. In Season 4’s premiere, he has decided that taking over the White House is the next best thing. To do so, he hires the intellect of the world’s smartest person, Sister Sage. After, it’s decided that he needs to create political division by having his fans murdered so that they can become martyrs for his cause.
Homelander expresses his power by not committing to the dirty work himself, and instead has members of the Seven prove their loyalty by doing it for him. Homelander has his own fans brutally beaten to death with baseball bats just to stir up trouble with Starlight fans.

10Sexually Assaulted Becca Butcher
Homelander Abused His Power To Force Becca Into Sex
Billy and Becca Butcher had their lives forever changed after Becca was assaulted by Homelander. This act caused them to drift, and Becca eventually had her death faked by Vought when she found out she was pregnant with Homelander’s child.
The fact that Becca tried to raise Homelander’s son as a good person wasn’t enough, as Homelander wanted to remove those lessons and turn Ryan into a mini-version of him in all the wrong ways. Homelander is violent and cruel, and his sexual advances on Becca prove how low he is willing to go.

9Murdering Madelyn Stillwell
Homelander Uses Heat Vision To Burn Through Madelyn’s Eyes
As a top-ranking executive in Vought International, Madelyn worked closely with The Seven. One of her more personal and conflicting relationships was with Homelander, who had an oddly sexual and motherly relationship with her. Madelyn soon found herself a pawn in Billy Butcher’s game and was made a hostage for Homelander to come to the rescue.
Alas, Homelander did not rescue Madelyn but instead used his heat vision to kill Stillwell. This was due to Homelander being upset and sick of the lies Madelyn told him since Homelander was unaware that Becca Butcher and his son were at a hidden location.

8Forcing The Deep To Eat Timothy
Homelander Shows Power Over Deep By Forcing Him To Eat A Sea Creature Friend
Each season ofThe Boyshas seenThe Deep try to redeem himselfafter his diabolical act on Starlight. In season 3, Homelander helps The Deep to skip a few steps and rejoin The Seven. There’s only one condition, a celebration meal in which the group eats seafood.
Homelander stares at The Deep, enforcing his power over him as he demands that the sea-loving superhero eat the octopus known as Timothy, a dear friend of The Deep. It’s a gross moment and one that shows the pleasure Homelander gets through the mental and physical torture of those beneath him.

7Outing Queen Maeve
Homelander Tells the World that Maeve is a Lesbian
Nothing gets in the way of Homelander. The character will punish anyone who defies him or lies to him. Queen Maeve was no exception, and on live TV,Homelander outs Maeveto the world as a lesbian. This shocked Maeve, for she is bisexual, and did not want the limelight on her sexuality so that her girlfriend was not harassed.
Maeve was then reduced to a PR stunt in The Seven, in which her sexual identity became a lie and the center of her image for the superhero group. Homelander’s public outing ofQueen Maeve is horrible, for someone not ready to let the world know who she is.

6Forces A Suicidal Person To Jump Off A Roof
Homelander Makes Chelsea Kill Herself
As the anti-Superman, Homelander pays homage to one of Superman’s more powerful moments, in all the wrong ways. Despite having ultimate power, it is Superman’s compassion that makes him a hero. When a girl prepares to jump to her death, Superman talks to her, instead of just forcing her back to safety. The same cannot be said for Homelander.
A character with no compassion, Homelander stares at the suicidal victim and forces her to jump off the roof to her death. It shows how little he cares for human lives, and how this was just a PR stunt that he does not care about.

5Kidnapped And Abused Doppelganger
Homelander Keeps A Supe Prisoner To Sexual Abuse Until He Gets Bored
A superhero known as Doppelganger can shapeshift. This includes becoming the person that they shift into, including their voice. Homelander abuses Doppelganger after Stillwell’s death, to have the sexual relationship he always wanted with her.
Homelander putting Doppelganger through such abuse is only furthered when Doppelganger transforms into Homelander, believing that the hero’s megalomaniac personality will have him love himself. Homelander responds by snapping Doppelganger’s neck.

Ryan has the powers of Homelander, but the compassion of his mother. As a child, it makes him easily manipulatable for how he needs a father in both Butcher and Homelander.
Homelander abuses Ryan mentally, by calling him weak and pathetic. In season 3, he turns Ryan on Butcher and shows him to the world as his proud son. The last thing the world needs is two Homelanders.

Toward the end of season 3, things seem to beramping up in the civilian world. People are divided on whether to support Homelander or not, based on the exposing videos released by Starlight. When Homelander introduces his followers to his son, a protestor throws something at Ryan.
Homelander’s response isn’t peaceful resolve, but to use his heat vision and explode the man’s head. His followers watch in shock, before breaking into a cheer and row of celebration for their leader’s murder of an innocent man.
