World Events are popular in MMORPGs, andWorld of Warcraftcelebrates all kinds of holidays. Some of them are inspired by real-life while others are created entirely on the game, and Hallow’s End is one of the former. The jack o' lanterns, costumes, and candy are inspired by Halloween, but this event lasts for almost two weeks, from October 18th to October 31st, as opposed to only one scary night.

The events and festivities for Hallow’s End include several items that are only available once a year, and one of the most sought-after is the title, “the Hallowed.” Each World Event has a title available provided the player completes a few unique tasks and quests unique to the holiday.
Although the number has changed since the title was first introduced, there are currently 11 achievements players have to complete to get the Hallowed title. Not all of the Hallow’s End Achievements are required, even in the Classic version of the game. There was a time when “A Mask For All Occasions” was included, but that was changed in 2008, and the rule is currently the same for both the vintage and modernWorld of Warcraftgames.
The Achievements for the Hallowed title must be completed on or before October 31, during the Hallow’s End event. The short holiday that immediately follows Hallow’s End is the Day of the Dead. This is a separate holiday that starts on November 1st.
This is the name of the quest every player gets when it’s timeto kill the Headless Horseman. It’s a daily group quest for higher-level players even though it’s located in a mid-level dungeon.
It’s as easy as killing the boss known as the Headless Horseman to get the achievement. He’s located in theGraveyard Wingof theScarlet Monastery, and as long as each player in the party has the daily quest he can be summoned five times. That means there are five chances to get his rare drops, including armor for tanks and melee DPS, spellcaster rings, and two items needed for the achievement - theSinister Squishlingpet andHollowed Helm, which also have a chance to drop here.
Check Your Head
The Weighted Jack-o-Lantern is a blue item that players can find in a variety of locations. It can be dropped from the Headless Horseman, awarded as one of the World Event daily quests, or be found as part of the loot in a Handful of Candy or a Bag of Candy. These can be thrown at other players and it covers their head like a helm.

Collect at least ten to finish this achievement, which requires the player to put a Weighted Jack-o-Lantern on the head of each playable race in Azeroth. It also counts when placed on the player’s character, so there’s an easy place to start. The best and easiest way to finish this achievement is to visit a neutral city like Shattrath or Dalaran. Another more challenging way to complete it would be in a battleground.
G.N.E.R.D. Rage
Remember those tiny little candies that came in a box? These are easy to find in the handfuls of candy that players take from the innkeepers. This is a callback to those pop culture favorites, and in the game, they improve the character’s defense rating by +5, and the effect stacks,making it handy for PvP.
Visit a battleground and kill at least 50 players while under the influence of the G.N.E.R.D. defense buff to complete “G.N.E.R.D. Rage.” This is easier than it sounds in battlegrounds like Wintergrasp and Strand of the Ancients, where machines like guns, cannons, and tanks are involved and players die en masse.
Rotten Hollow
This is one of the Achievements that’s tied to a quest, and it’s different depending on the faction.
Horde
Travel to the Alliance city of Southshore to throw rotten eggs into their town square and ruin the kegs of mead in the tavern. The city guards will attack, but they won’t have much effect on high-level characters. The real threat here is other Alliance players defending the town.

Alliance
Clean up the rotten egg stink left by the Horde players and find the location of the Tirisfal Glades Wicker Man festival. It’s on the road heading north, right next to one of Undercity’s walls, so it’s really easy to find.
Sinister Calling
The Sinister Squishling is a non-combat pet that looks like a jack-o-lantern on a green plant stalk. It has some fun traits, like copying some of the player’s movements and constantly waving about like a plant. It’s also permanent, unlike the holiday, so players can enjoy it all year round. Obtaining a Hallowed Helm is the other half, and it’s just as easy.
Both of these items drop in a variety of places that are exclusive to the World Event. The Headless Horseman might drop either one, an orphan might put one in a Crudely Wrapped Gift, or an innkeeper mightgive the player one in a bag of candy.
That Sparkling Smile
Another achievement that looks like it would be easy, but that depends entirely on when the player comes across some Tooth Picks. These are only available from the Handfuls of Candy or Bags of Candy, and their drop rate is totally random.
They could be in the first Trick or Treat bag the player gets, or they may have to travel through most of Old Azeroth before they find one. Once one appears, use it, and gain this achievement.
The Mask Task
This is a nerfed version of the previous achievement that requires only a single mask instead of the 20 that were previously required. Given that the flimsy masks have a rare drop rate and only come from Handfuls of Candy, which are only available once an hour, it might have been too much to ask.
Today, all that’s required for this step in The Hallowed title is to get a single mask, of any type, and put it on.
The Masquerade
This is always the last achievement that everyone seems to get, and it’s one of the toughest because it requires some cooperation and even a bit of organization and planning. Players have to change into each of the seven different costumes - Leper Gnome, Bat, Wisp, Skeleton, Pirate, Ghost, and Ninja - using the Hallowed Wand.

The wand only works on party members, and players can’t use the wand on themselves. To make it even more difficult, they are only found in Handfuls of Candy and Crudely Wrapped Gifts, and it’s not easy to find all seven of them. There are some ways to make this achievement easier.
The Saviour Of Hallow’s End
Put out the fires as part of a daily quest called “Stop The Fires” or “Let The Fires Come” that players can get fromthe Masked or Customed Matronstanding in the town square. Grab a bucket, fill it up, aim it at a fire and throw. It’s also possible to throw a full bucket to another player within reach of the fire to speed up the process. Put them out in time and turn the quest in to get the achievement.
The town will depend on the player’s faction. Horde players can go toBrill,Razor Hill,orFalconwing Square.Alliance players put out fires inGoldshire, Azure Watch,orKharanos.
Tricks And Treats Of Azeroth
Exactly where this path leads depends on whether the character is Horde or Alliance. These are friendly cities, so this isn’t a high-risk PvP situation. An easy achievement, but one that takes some time, patience, and hopefully an epic mount. At least this only requires the candy buckets of Azeroth and not the ones in Outland orNorthrend, but that’s still two continents to cover.
Check the list of cities in the achievements to know exactly what candy buckets are needed, and where they are. Most of them are accessible via flight path, with some exceptions, but that’s what the epic ground mount is for, and remember that flying mounts don’t work in the old country.
