Blizzard capped off the month of February by showingWorld of Warcraft: Dragonflight’s Shamans, Paladins, and Death Knights some love in the form of a few helpful buffs to key abilities.WoW: Dragonflightplayers should notice Shamans putting out a little more DPS thanks to one particularly significant buff to Icefury, and the hotfix also addresses a handful of balance issues in PvP.

After stumbling through several expansions that left many players frustrated due to long walks through the dreary Maw, countless “borrowed power” systems that required constant upkeep, and a few too many extra systems and currencies to keep track of,WoW Dragonflighthas been a breath of fresh air. Featuring a smaller-scale narrative, fewer systems to keep track of, andDragonflight’s enjoyable Dragonridingtraversal, this latest expansion seems to have been designed for more casual players that have grown weary inWoW’s recent years. Despite the well-received launch, there’s still plenty of work to be done as Blizzard continues its endless struggle to balance the game’s growing roster of classes.

The February 28 hotfix has mostly been geared toward buffs of underperforming classes, at least as far as PvE is concerned.WoW Dragonflight’s Elemental Shamansin particular have seen some major improvements, with Icefury receiving a staggering 80% damage increase along with generating 14 Maelstrom rather than 8. The buffs don’t stop there for Elemental Shamans, however, as Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst, Earth Shock, Frost Shock, and Elemental Blast have each seen buffs up to 15%. A few of these changes only apply to PvE, but the big Icefury change is universal.

Although not quite as big of a boost,WoW Dragonflight’s Protection Paladinshave received an impressive 30% damage increase to Hammer of Wrath and 20% boosts to Greater Judgment’s bonus and Hammer of the Righteous' damage. Last and certainly the least in terms of buffs, Blood Death Knights have received a 3% boost to all damaging abilities. On the PvP side, Marksmanship Hunters are having their damage shifted from Kill Shot over to base rotation abilities. Most other classes only saw very minor changes in PvP, while Enhancement Shamans should have more consistent damage thanks to 20% buffs to Stormstrike and Windstrike.

The start of the new month also marks anupdate toWoW’s Trading Post, with a new set of rewards to earn and a new list of tasks to complete. Players who successfully grind out 1000 Travel Points this month can get their hands on the Darkmoon Harlequin’s Bells Ensemble.
