As many players likely expected,The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomreuses much of the Hyrule map seen within its predecessor,Breath of the Wild. However, since this is a sequel, Hyrule isn’t exactly the same as players remember it was time and events inTears of the Kingdomhave left many areas bother looking and feeling a bit different. In addition,Tears of the Kingdomexpands the map of Hyruile verticallyby adding new Sky Islands and the cavernous Depths to explore as well.
Many of the cities and villages players can visit have also changed from how they were depicted in Breath of the Wild. The beach town ofLurelin Village has been ruined after an invasion by monsters, and it is up to players to not only clear them out, but rebuild it afterward. Kakariko Village had Zonai Ruins fall into it, Goron City has seen changes after Death Mountain erupted, and even Gerudo Town isn’t quite as lively as it once was.

Therural town of Hateno Village also returnsand while it has managed to avoid much of the issues with the Upheaval, it does look a bit different thanks to the fashion designer Cece. The town doesn’t have a main quest, but players should visit as Hateno has plenty of side adventures and quests to take on including one for a farmer named Dantz.

Where to Find Hateno Village
TheLegend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomplayers looking to start this quest should head to Hateno Village. For those who have not been there, Hateno is East of Ginner Woods, South of Zelkoa Pond and Northeast of Firly Pond. It’s situated in the Mount Lanaryu Region of Hyrule to the east and the easiest way to travel there would be to go to the Mount Lanaryu Skyview Tower to the north of the village and then use the paraglider.
How to Start Dantz’s Prize Cows
Once inside the village, players can find the NPC Dantz at the Hateno Pasture during the day. Speak to him, and he’ll begin to lament that he’s run out of special feed to give to his cows, resulting in a shortage of hishigh-quality Fresh Milk. In order to create the special feed, Dantz uses acorns from the nearby Retsam Forest, though squirrels have been much more active lately and have been grabbing them all.
Thankfully, this quest is very easy to complete, especially for players who already have acorns in their inventory. Dantz will ask players for three acorns, so for those with them on hand, the quest can be completed in no time. However, for players who don’t yet have them, the easiest way to collect them would be to head into the forest and start chopping down trees or shooting a squirrel with an arrow.
Players should note that chopping down a tree does not guarantee an acorn to appear. It will likely take 4-5 trees for 1 acorn to drop. On the other hand, shooting squirrels also comes with a few risks as the animals tend to be very skittish and will run if Link gets too close or makes too much noise. Acorns can also be found all over the world including places like the Great Sky Island and even find them used tomark a path to the South Lomei Labyrinth.
Dantz’s Prize Cows Rewards
After handing in three acorns, Dantz will give the player a bottle of fresh milk. Better yet, this isn’t a one time deal as Dantz will continue to gift players milk for every 3 acorns traded in from now on. While this may not sound like much, it’s the best way to get free milk for use in food dishes including some needed bythe Horse God Malanya.
