Reddit user Divlogue recently shared a clip showing off theirZelda:Tears of the KingdomPodracer. The video begins with Link activating the unit with a Steering Stick which causes four fans on each corner of their platform to push the vehicle up. A wheel at the front of this unit is connected to one with more fans by multiple poles, giving a fair distance between Link and the fans propelling the vehicle forward. The player controls the front fans with the Steering Stick as they soar abovetheTears of the KingdomHyrule landscapebefore taking it off a big drop to a watery area below. As the Reddit user had to recharge their vehicle in the process, it notably uses a lot of Zonai Charges to operate.

While mostStar WarsPodracers are connected to their engines by two wires, theTears of the Kingdomversion offers a unique twist with only one line extending to the propulsion. At one point, the video shows some slight latency which is a problem with multipleTears of the Kingdomvehicles. The Podracer lands safely at the bottom of the jump, indicating that the fans help prevent potentially deadly fall damage. As the Podracing scene inThe Phantom Menacetakes place in the desert, it’s fitting that Divlogue is using theirs in a barren part of Hyrule.

Because Divlogue didn’t disclose how theirStar WarsPodracer was created, it may be hard for other players to replicate.WithTears of the Kingdomhaving so many objectsthat players can put together with Ultrahand, this may not be the last one inspired byStar Wars.
