The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomhas a number of shrines hidden beneath its surface in the many caves that opened up during the Upheaval. Some of these shrines offer puzzles to solve, but a few of them present Link with combat challenges that he must overcome to get the Light of Blessing.

The Nouda Shrine in particular sits in icy cavern that may be familiar to many players ofBreath of the Wild. In this shrine, Link must face off against several constructs. Here’s how to find the shrine and claim its prize.

Nouda Shrine Location in Tears of the Kingdom

InTears of the Kingdom, the Nouda Shrine can be found in the Kopeeki Drifts area of Hebra at the coordinates-2318, 2201, 0173.

The shrine is located in the Kopeeki Drifts Cave nestled at the bottom of the drifts. Players can reach the entrance at-2402, 2286, 0171by traveling south from the Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower or west from the Snowfield Stable andOrochium Shrine. Players may recognize this as the door fromBreath of the Wildthat needed to be opened by rolling a giant snowball into it. It has remained open since that time, allowing Link to walk right in.

In the Upheaval, the cavern has expanded deeper into the mountainside and houses a small, icy lake at its center with the Nouda Shrine on the opposite side.

The freezing water will immediately and rapidly damage Link if he tries to swim in it, even with cold-resistant gear. Players do have the option to swim across to the shrine if they have enough health to survive the journey. Alternatively, the easiest solution is tobuild a vehicleto either fly or float over the water. There unfortunately aren’t any Zonai devices or buoyant objects in the cave, so players will need use whatever they may have in their inventory to do the trick.

Link can also cross the water with the aid of aFrost Emitteror any ice-infused weapon. The frost will createpanels of ice on the water’s surfacethat Link can safely walk on:

In the back of the cavern, the Nouda Shrine waits to be activated and holds an additional challenge for players to complete. Either before or after completing the shrine, players should also look for a tunnel high on the wall where they can find the cave’shidden Bubbulfrog.

Nouda Shrine Walkthrough

As the name implies, the Proving Grounds within the Nouda Shrine challenges Link with an intermediate level of combat. Players are expected to use a combination of the mechanics they’ve learned in the game to defeat all the constructs found inside. There are many possible routes that players can use to complete the shrine, including simply ascending the central tower and fighting the constructs head-on. However, players may find it easier to use the following strategy to overcome the challenge.

Upon entering the arena, players will notice a construct on a raised platform to their right that will shoot flame arrows at them. Defeating it will allow Link to easily pick up theFire Fruiton the platform in addition to the ones the construct drops.

Players can thenattach the fiery fruit to their arrowsto ignite the pile of leaves at the base of the large tower in the middle of the room, destroying another construct in the process.

The newly defeated construct will dropShock Fruitthat can be used to charge the electric-powered rotor on the left side of the room:

With enough charge, the rotor will spin fast enough to provide a gust of wind Link can use to soar into the air with his glider.

Players can use any remaining Shock Fruit to create electric arrows and shoot the metal platforms at the top of the tower. Doing so will electrocute the two constructs perched atop the highly conductive platform.

Beneath the metal platforms, players can find powerful materials they canfuse to their weaponsto take out the few remaining constructs in the arena.
