The Simosiwak Shrine inThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdomis one of the many shrines players will encounter during their adventures in Hyrule. To reach and unlock this shrine, the player must travel to one of Hyrule’smany Sky Islands.
Like most of the other shrines in the game, Link must pass a test before he can earn the shrine’s blessing. Here’s how players can locate, activate, and solve the Simosiwak Shrine inTears of the Kingdom.

How to Locate and Unlock The Simosiwak Shrine
The Simosiwak Shrine can be found onBravery Island in the North Hyrule Sky Archipelago, at sky coordinates 0162, 1971, 0759. To reach this island efficiently, visit theThyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower, activate the platform to launch into the sky, and thenuse the paragliderto glide and descend onto Bravery Island. It may be necessary to rest on other islands along the way to replenish Stamina to make the full journey.
After arriving at Bravery Island, the southernmost island featuring a pool of water, the player should speak with theSteward Constructlocated near the pool. The Steward Construct will explain the Dive Ceremony, and offer a practice round for the player to complete. Successfullynavigating through all the green circlesand landing in the pool below willactivate the entrance to the Simosiwak Shrine.

Completing the practice round will unlock a second dive challenge, which is timed and requires providing the Steward Constructwith a Zonai Chargeto participate. Completing the second Dive Ceremony rewards Link with theGlide Tights,a crucial piece of the Glide Armor set.

Simosiwak Shrine Walkthrough (Proving Grounds: Lights Out)
Upon entering theSimosiwak Shrine, players will begin a combat challenge calledProving Grounds: Lights Out. They will be stripped of their armor and denied access to any equipment, weapons, materials, or other inventory items. The interior of the Shrine is exceptionally dark, but fortunately, players are provided with access to two Light Shields and aWooden Sticknear the beginning to aid them in navigating through the darkness.
To clear the Shrine, players need to defeat three Construct enemies using only the weapons and devices they find through exploring the Shrine and defeating other enemies. The enemies can be easily located due to their glowing red eyes, but acquiring suitable weapons may require utilizing the Light Shield. The Light Shield will serve asa source of lightwhen drawn, but it will deteriorate with use and will eventually break.

Defeating the Constructs will yield weapons and shields that players can equip, utilize, and Fuse together to make more powerful. Keep an eye out for powerfulFlame Emitterdevices resting on the ground. These can be held or Fused onto weapons, and their fire damage will prove highly effective against the Constructs within the Shrine. Link appears to haveunlimited battery chargeinside the Shrine, allowing him to use any Zonai device as much as necessary.
The Shrine may present a considerable challenge for early game players, as Link cannotrely on foodorconsume any elixirsto replenish his health. However, exploiting the extensive range of the Flame Emitter andFusing long-range weaponswill make quick work of the constructs. Defeat all three Constructs and the gate will open. The player can proceed to open a chest containing aBright Elixirand interact with the statue to collect theLight of Blessing.
